As we move into 2013, the skies will light up with a Partial Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio on April 25, 2013. This magnificent event is the series of eclipses which will impact fixed signs. The eclipse will occur within 5 degrees in Scorpio at approximately 4:07 pm EST, 1:07 pm PST. This will be a definitely a site to see since the Moon will also be full in the sign of Scorpio at 3:57pm EST and 12:57am PST.

This is the second series of eclipses which will continue to impact all fixed signs, especially Scorpio. The first eclipse began its journey on November 13, 2012 (Read about it here). At which time a new journey for many was the closing of one door and opening of another, however, the eclipses will continue to impact fixed signs when another eclipse will enter our skies on May 09, just a couple of days before Mother’s Day in Taurus.

“The first of three spring eclipses occurs April 25, at 5 degrees of Scorpio at 3:57 p.m. and this is a lunar eclipse. Scorpio is a water sign and so it is emotional. Unlike most eclipses, this eclipse will shine only in one area of the hemisphere and it won’t be seen by many. To be able to see the entire eclipse the best area to be is Eastern Europe or Africa. Though some in central Asia and western Australia will see this, North America will not have the visibility of this event, but will feel it in many other aspects.

The effects of this eclipse can be felt as early as 5 days before (April 20, 2013). The discomfort of the energy of the eclipse will be felt by everyone; however, the intensity of the eclipse depends upon the house that the eclipse falls in an astrological chart. This eclipse is particularly relationship oriented – our relations with others can be disconnected, braved, or suddenly welded together as the shock calls one to action. This 6-month period is a time to focus on other people’s money or joint ventures of some sort. Since there are two eclipses in Scorpio, different aspects will occur in people’s lives. For example the first one could bring money and the second could bring introduction. The first eclipse does have Mars in the 7^th house which represents relationships which could means that if a person is single, then commitments will be on their minds. If already in a commitment there will be a stronger bond. Even though the first eclipse can seem slightly negative, people who are in a relationship will give the support needed to move forwards.

Eclipses usually shake our foundations, pull us out of our normalcy and supply the energy to see the world without rose colored glasses or even blue if I may add. Eclipses always bring news: good bad or ugly; try not to push during the eclipses it’s better to think than act. Eclipse is about planning but not acting. Eclipses are emotional and it’s a deterrence, it helps to get energy to do things that one has never done and don’t judge under any circumstances.

The moon in April also is named the seed moon; so plant those seeds and bring them to the light of the sun. The first few days of the full moon are always a waxing moon; try to avoid confrontation as much as possible.

The full moon in Scorpio is a time for renewal and rebirth like – Phoenix rising from the ashes as will the Scorpios. Many things in our lives may be fading so it is time for rebirth. We are soothing past the old and peeling old skin. This moon is about the Gods, Karma, Sun, the Moon and humans.

In the Buddhist tradition the full moon in Scorpio is known as “Wesak”; a time of enlightenment. Scorpions are naturally expressive, intuitional and psychics. Their nature of picking up signals from people are so honed that they become sponges to other people’s emotions. These emotions for non-Scorpions can be quite theatrical which may cause many people to hide feelings pretending everything is ok but it is not.

If a relationship is going through a healing process or a matter of a little time off, now there will be a new sense of energy which will strengthen the emotional bond and patience will be very much appreciated and will save the relationship.

There is a greater need during this full moon energy to feel protected and firm. Because of this energy, hostility, contention and anger will bring out the most vivid part in all of us.
