Full moon and Eclipse in Scorpio/Sagittarius
June 5/6, 2020
As humanity is being tested economically, financially and mentally, the cosmos is not only slowing us down but also bringing forth drastic changes.
Chandra Grahan, in Sanskrit, literally means as follows, Chandra means the moon, grahan means to cover part of the sun or the moon. Though there is no translation for Penumblar Lunar Eclipse, in India it will be viewed as Chandra Grahan.
In the afternoon of June 5, 2020, Penumbral Eclipse begins at 1:45 pm EST and slowly tries to cover the moon. The lamination will be at its highest and brightest at 3:42 pm EST but by the time the moon is completely full the eclipse will have reached its maximum point at 3:24 pm EST. Just as slowly as it came, it will begin to move away and complete the course by 5:04 pm EST. As the moon begins to merge there is a magnificent halo which will turn the full moon orange some refer to this as a blood moon.
Even though it is the Penumbral lunar eclipse may bring force to human factors of emotions and actions, it is not very active in the cosmos. As much as the view of the eclipse is stunning, this one, however, is below the horizon. Thus, it will not be viewed by the Americas, rather projecting in Europe, Australia, Asia, and Africa. This means these are the countries which will be impacted the most in areas of change.
The lunar eclipse will fall at 15 degrees of Gemini/Sagittarius axis and according to VPAT (Vedic Philosophical Ayurvedic Theories) it will be in Scorpio. Therefore, all three signs will be impacted by this eclipse. This eclipse will be concentrated around those born in the middle of their signs, about 15 days into their signs, affect will be those that have Gemini, Scorpio and Sagittarius, including decedent and ascendant, and those that have mutable and fixed signs in their chart. Distinction of this eclipse will be more on being supportive, excellent, merciful, and taking risk; at the same time there will be a dislike for quarantine, monotony, unwillingness, and disapproval.
As I have said in the past, those countries that are able to view the eclipse will continue to go through a transformation, additionally, most of Europe, Asia and Africa. However, U.S is not clear from the transformation, as focus will be a lot on Washington D.C, New Orleans, San Francisco, Oakland, and Sacramento CA, Trenton and Newark, NJ, Dallas and Waco TX, and most of all Florida.
Scorpio is the accepted ruler of the eighth house of death and change, taxes and business, and shared finances. The eighth house refrains and can often seem as though there is a feeling of compulsory transformation. Death can be verbatim and symbolic in our personal lives and in the world.
This eclipse will also re-stimulate, ending a chapter to something that may have begun in November and December of 2018. It is also a collaborative effort between two signs Scorpio (death and transformation) and Sagittarius (truth and freedom). Look for issues of the same degree in 2015. Additionally, it is the same exact degree as it was in 2001. But this is not unusual as my prediction of 2020 elaborated such a fate. (Read more here)
The effects of this eclipse can be felt as early as 5 days before (May 30/31, 2020). The restlessness of the energy of the eclipse will be felt by everyone; however, the strength of the eclipse depends upon the house that the eclipse falls in your astrological chart. Every eclipse has a noteworthy attitude on revolution in our lives for at least 6 months; therefore, those born in the 2nd and 3rd weeks into Sagittarius/ Scorpio may feel this effect more so than ever.
To be able to sense, or rather recount, to the force of this eclipse is to recall the eclipse that occurred on June of 2012, which cemented the pathway to the eclipse which is about to start, continue, or close. This is the first eclipse in series of eclipses that are beginning for Sagittarius until 2021. For every astrological sign this eclipse will be different and will be triggered upon what happens for them in times to come.
Looking back the events of the last solar eclipse and the exact degree in which this moon places itself, we will see a pattern. With the corona virus pandemic do you really feel that this was the first time this happened? In June of 2012, a middle east corona-virus outbreak occurred. But the most intensity occurred in June of 2001 when anthrax hit the mail system. Does it seem to anyone that this is anything new, it just intensified.
Hence, I warn that the eclipse energy is felt 5 days before and for up to 6 months. As the mix of Scorpio/ Sagittarius energies were at the same exact degree in 2015, plenty of hidden things came to light and similar issues are already occurring today. Perhaps many of you recall the shooting of Walter Scott which was videotaped and showed Officer Michael Slager shooting a man without provocation. Now the headline news and cities across the country are protesting the police brutality upon George Floyd which was also videotaped. Just like Walter Scott, I would not be surprised if protests turn violent even more as we move forwards. This could happen as Scorpio energy is intense and Sagittarius wants things fair and just.
But all was not lost. Justice was served partially when James Holmes who opened fire in a movie theater was given a life sentence, and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was sentenced to death in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. Perhaps when the courts re-open justice will be served again.
Additionally, I would not be at all surprised that there is recall on voting by one of the parties as similar situations occurred in 2012 in the senate races. However, I hope the complex weather does not torture the Midwest as it did in 2012 when Derecho brought havoc for both the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic states.
I would not rule out flooding and earthquakes, including extreme heat. However, I will discuss this at more length in the next eclipse on June 20, 2020.
As there are two Lunar and one solar eclipse this summer, each one will have its own unique prospective as to what to expect. The combination of all eclipses and Mercury retrograde will paint synchronized predispositions as to what to expect in the next 6 months.
The house in which eclipses fall is an important facet to how one handles the energy, or rather, makes use of it. Though what is elaborated below are based upon generalizations, depending upon what form of Astrology you prefer, I would suggest you contact your Astrologer as to how your life will play out in the next 6 months.
Gemini/Scorpio/Sagittarius
Dearest Sagittarius, this is your series of eclipses which will continue until December 2021. On the other hand, according to VPAT, these are also Scorpio eclipses which are impacted by the climaxes of those issues that occurred in 2001, 2015 and 2018. However, since this is a Gemini/Sagittarius axis eclipse this will also impact Gemini’s. Note dearest Gemini, where there is an opening of a door another will close. Those closed doors will occur on June 20, so be ready.
Gemini: Take very good care of your health; especially emotional stability. Be focused on areas of family and finances. All those goals that you wanted in your life, if you are focused and ready, will be achieved. However, the most important advice is for you to understand that you need to remain clam.
Scorpio: There are so many unexpected things that could occur and you must do what you can to overcome them. It is important to remain transparent in all aspects of your life. If you stay true to your own achievement you will have your dreams come true. However, the hunt for this eclipse is to find the truth.
Sagittarius: Be very cautious in your interpersonal relationships. It is important that you practice tolerance so that your loved ones feel that they are important to you. Health issues could creep up. I am sure you have that special friend you can talk to, and as you do, you will see every aspect of your life begins to fall into place. However, the main theme is for you to keep your true friends close and let go of others.
Mutable Signs
Virgo, Pisces
Pisces: You may not be feeling stable in your family life at this time. You will need to bring peace and harmony here. This is the time to come up with new ideas to make your entire family happy and use practicality in your decision making. However, the theme for you during this eclipse is to allow your family to have freedom, so don’t try to control everything.
Virgo: You may have some difficulties with your superiors and be mindful of what you say and how you say it. There will be plenty of introspection for the future of your career and there is a possibility that you my work hard to build your own homegrown work for sustainability. However, the lesson for this eclipse is as there are bound to be issues, it is important that you think about the results more than once before you take action.
Fixed Signs
Aquarius, Taurus and Leo
Aquarius: Relationship issues are very possible. It is important to practice patience and nurture your loved ones as much as possible. Your creative efforts are on a high note and being more friendly along with using your charisma will be helpful to you. However, it is important you focus improving your communication skills.
Taurus: Your communication skills must improve as there may be tendency to be abrasive with important people in your life. Pick your arguments carefully and avoid conflicts at all cost. You will have all that you need to work hard and get your financial rewards. However, there may be unexpected expenses. During this eclipse, energy it is important to handle all conflicts in a loving manner and have the courage to fight for what you want.
Leo: It is imperative that you do not engage in any conflicts with those that are important in your life, especially people you work with and your loved ones. Take the time to think on things before judging situations. It is better to be around positivity as the more positive people you are around, the better you will feel.
Cardinal Sign
Capricorn, Aries, Libra
Capricorn: You may have difficulties with co-workers and superiors. Additionally, in areas of interpersonal relationships, it is important that all conflicts be handled in a peaceful manner. There will be plenty of obstacles and competition to keep you busy. However, during the next 6 months it is vital that you reach out to those that have knowledge about things that you are interested in.
Aries: There will be plenty of difficulties in areas of family structure during the next 6 months. Be kind to all; a tranquil attitude will go further than you think. However, it is time to make up with your family; vacations and pampering them may do you good.
Libra: You could be doing a lot of traveling. Be careful with any travel for work as there could be blunders because you are not paying attention. You may also dive into a philosophical frame of mind. However, this period is about learning to stay focused and work hard; you will reap what you sow.

In ancient times eclipses were measured as indicators of difficulties. Eclipses usually trigger major devastation such as damaging weather patterns which could cause such things as floods, earthquakes, and snow storms.
The eclipses do not have to be all undesirable as they can also bring new jobs and time to make a list of how to improve your life. It is a time for growth, breath productivity, and obtaining consideration of spiritual things, rational people, and expanding your beliefs to the world.
This 6-month period is a time to focus on education, teaching, morals, travel, and growth. This particular Eclipse chart places a huge planetary emphasis in two area of the Zodiac – Sagittarius, where Virgo, Pisces and Gemini’s will be highly emphasized, and Scorpio, where Aquarius, Taurus, Leo are emphasized. The Moon in Sagittarius brings a time of exhilarating bustle looking for an impulsiveness. People may feel more tentative, polite, and fun loving. It is a good time for the benefits and ideas of travel, and for expansion the mind.
Nevertheless, the energy of the moon in Scorpio marks a time of controlling thirst and hunger. People may be feeling more acceleration and more inspiring, as well as being activated and practical. In general, emotions at both ends of the spectrum are astute and likely to vary quite a bit throughout this influence. Connections on a deep level could be made with members of the opposite sex with the Moon in Scorpio.

Since moon in Sagittarius is Truthful, Unambiguously Energetic, Confident, and Intelligent, and the VPAT energy of Scorpio has a tendency of being, Impulsive, Determined, Hot-Tempered, Courageous, and Spirited, it is my suggestion for us to remain balanced. This full moon and eclipse is astonishing to many signs. and we must remain impartial.
It is my suggestion that you purchase an orange candle and carve your name through to the wick. Anoint the candle with sandalwood oil or Lavender oil and chant the Psalm 17. You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is dependent upon the quality of intention. When it comes to finding satisfying interaction, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be.
The Sanskrit mantras can be difficult to pronounce but are a powerful source of energy on levels of sounds through us and the creator. For the lunar eclipse it is advisable to recite this daily for 6 months.
