Full Flower Moon
For many, this may be a sigh of relief as Western ideology forecasts that Mercury retrograde is behind us. However, according to VPAT (Vedic Philosophical Ayurvedic Theories) Mercury is one of the slowest short term planets. Therefore, equal time must be allocated for moving into the earth’s orbit, as well as for it to move out. But it is so close to completely leaving that perhaps the only people feeling this may be mutable signs (Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, and Sagittarius) and Fire signs (Leo, Aries and Sagittarius), including those that share Mercury traits.
Gazing at the sky it can be said that we are at the mid-point between spring equinox and summer solstice. This means that everyone must gear up and get plenty of rest. As the full moon in Scorpio ignites the fireworks of all the seeds planted in April, we are officially stepping into the “zone”. I will explain about the “zone” later in this blog.
The passionate and seductive full moon in Libra (Scorpio in Western) will turn the switch to the on position in the sky at approximately 5:42pm EST & 2:42pm PST, at 20 degrees of Taurus / Scorpio Axis depending upon the orb. As I was trying to analyze the algorithms it seemed that the closest we have come to this degree was in 2010, when the full moon in Scorpio/Libra was at 18 degrees, although not at the exact degree. However, those that are fortunate to be able to see this again in 2036 may be even more glorified than they will be for this one.
Zone: The intertwining between fabulous and powerful Taurus sun and Pluto will be the helping hand that we all need after a sluggish March and April. Arrival will be just in time for Mother’s Day, but I want everyone to remember this energy that you will feel. I am sure you recall that on the New moon last month I had stated to make a wish. This full moon is about the energy; it will give everyone the strength they need to make their goals real, or at least the energy to move forward. We will have something like this again on September 9, 2017. So remember what I said and write it down.
This full moon is not only giving energy, it is also an auspicious celebration in India, called Akshaya Tritiya. It is believed that any kind of business which will be started should begin on that day. It was written in history that God Ganesh (God of Wisdom and the son of Shiva) began scripting the works of “Mahabharatra”. While the scriptures were being written, all the Pandits (Priests) were sent into exile where they were each handed a bowl. That bowl was named Akshaya Tritiya; in literal terms, it means Eternal. The bowl never went empty and they never went hungry. This is a private celebration, only celebrated by Hindus and Jains. While not always celebrated throughout India, it is well known and followed.
One of my favorite spiritual days is Buddha Purnima, better known as Vesak. Including India, this is the most auspicious days as it is a celebration of the birth of Siddhartha Gautam, aka Buddha. It is also a day to rejoice illumination and loss, and the belief system of Buddhism. Buddha Purnima, based upon the Vedic calendar, celebrates that Buddha was born Purnima (full moon) and in the month of May. Therefore, it has always been celebrated in India and Nepal as the first full moon in May. Thus, this full moon brings with it grandeur, passion, spirituality, natural endings, and new beginnings; but it can be quite agitating for those who are not used to the energy.
All things convert richer and more penetrating under the light of the Full Moon – feelings and egos are magnified, and consciousness and concentration are on relationships. The energy of the light of the Moon can cause deep dreams. Love and Romance go uninhibited under a Full Moon, especially around midnight. Additionally, the brilliant light will reflect against the flowers that blossom during May, which is why this moon was given the name of “The flower moon”.
As Saturn is retrograding to the halfway mark in Scorpio/Sagittarius (VPAT), just hang on my Scorpio friends; it’s almost over, I promise. Like all Scorpios who love to dig and investigate, this moon triggers those senses; it forces one to get to the bottom of things and discover what is really going on. It’s time for psychic revelations, your psyche is triggered.
When the moon is in Scorpio, we develop supplementary, be they familiar, concealed, or enigmatic, stimuli and our psychic antennas may be activated. This is a time for functioning to uphold an emotional switch, and for working on overcoming inner pre-occupational thoughts or desires. There can be a need for distinguishing behaviors and responses that keep you locked in power struggles. This Full moon is most auspicious for the quest of your divine center and Higher Power to gradually release you from internal pessimism. Passionate Control is the emphasis.
The Moon in Scorpio marks a time of intensified passion and desire. People may be feeling more assertive and more demanding, as well as being motivated and resourceful. In general, emotions at both ends of the spectrum are heightened and likely to vary quite a bit throughout this influence. Connections on a deep level could be made with members of the opposite sex under the Moon in Scorpio. Represented by the Scorpion, Scorpio possesses a secretive and penetrative nature. Feelings of jealousy and revenge may arise, so special caution is needed to avoid confrontations. The Scorpio Full Moon can be a catalyst for power urges, which can often result in violence or even homicidal impulses.
Since moon in Scorpio represents Reckless, Willful, Volatile, Bold, and spirited, it is my suggestion for us to remain balanced. This full moon is extraordinary to many. It is my suggestion that you purchase a white candle and carve your name through to the wick. Anoint the candle with lavender oil and sandalwood oil, and chant the Psalm 39. You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle.
Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is dependent upon the quality of intention. Also, when it comes to finding satisfying relationships, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but are a powerful source of energy.
“Om Aing Kleeng Sauh”
(Om An-ii-ii-nn kliii nnn gg Suuuua hh)
Om Narayanaya Sursinmhaya Namah
This mantra is a call to the lord of peace for confiscation of any difficulties in your way. The intention of this mantra is to keep balance and from losing our temper through obscurity and blurred energy.
The information I am giving you below is not western astrology or Vedic astrology, rather Vedic philosophical inferences based upon mathematical anomalies. The Astrological names are placeholders as named signs in which difficulties may occur.
If you are looking for a Western Astrologer, you may seek counsel with my preferred astrologers Leslie or Lee . If you are looking for a Vedic Astrologer, the only ones I know and trust are not located in the states therefore I am able to give a referral at this time.
Enjoy this full moon and keep calm as possible
