New Moon in Capricorn

As the Biblical story states: three wise men traveled the dessert to see Jesus, and at that time the moon was full, but the north star was brighter. How can that be if the moon is the biggest body seen in the sky? Could it be that the moon was not full after all? That is not something we can really answer in this lifetime without digging into the archives and allowing science to supersede our faith. I would hope not.
Unlike many other new moons we have had, there was only one that was at the exact degree as the one on Christmas Day. But it is not an ordinary moon, it is our Annular Solar Eclipse. It so happens that according to astronomer’s timing, the partial eclipse will begin on Christmas Day (December 25, 2019) at 9:20pm EST and the maximum eclipse will be at 12:17am and ends at 3:05 am EST.
As the partial eclipse begins to reach its maximum, the new moon will be voided at 12:13am. Within four minutes the eclipse will be at its maximum and within 3 hours the eclipse will be concluded.
Even though western astrologers will state this eclipse is taking place in Capricorn, according to VPAT, this eclipse is surrounded around Sagittarius/Capricorn, therefor justice will be the eye opener for many and both Sagittarius and Capricorn will be transforming.
Though this earthy solar eclipse will not be visible to North America, the partial eclipse will be visible those in Asia, Africa, and Australia. This means that those countries will be in the news and will be a target of major transformation for 6 months. This is not surprising as India, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Sudan, U.K, and Mexico are already ruled by Capricorn. To make it even more narrowly focused, I would not be surprised if Delhi, Mexico City, and Brussels make the news during this time.
I will not be diving too deeply into how this eclipse is formed as some of this information will be readily available on the internet and exposed in media a few days before it happens. However, the most important aspect is how humanity will handle the burst, or lack, of energy during the voids.
While many western astrologers may state that this is time for new beginnings, the VPAT (Vedic Philosophical Ayurvedic theories) state that the humans cannot really see in the darkness. Thus, the earth cannot survive in the dark and the (full)moon is a necessity to all divine things (read more here). Therefore, this is not really a beginning of anything, rather, an ending for a situation, person, place, or thing.
For example, on December 27, 2008, the new moon was in Capricorn at 6 degrees and something began. If the housing bubble had not burst, we would still have been overseen by a Republican President in 2008. But it also opened the door to the first minority leader (Barack Obama) and a Democrat. As minorities became the majorities, in June of 2018 the full moon was in Capricorn at 6 degrees which meant something new had begun; at this time the separation of migrant families at the US and Mexico border stirred up many and the executive power was overseer. Since the moon will not be at this degree until 2027, perhaps in time there will be no separation of majorities and minorities. This I hope to see in the history books.
This time the moon is at 4 degrees in Capricorn, and with this eclipse we must now look back at June 2010 and wonder what will change. One of the major issues crippling the States is gun violence. There have been over 300 children killed in school shootings since 2010, and about 250 different schools have been affected by shootings. It is also estimated that about 10 people die from gun violence every 30 days since 2010. In June of 2010 one of the major events was focused around the 2nd Amendment which allows all state and local governments to arm militias as well as right of all citizens to defend themselves. Perhaps that within the next 6 months this could very well be an issue of discussion.
However, one of the most monumental issue during June 2010 was that President Obama discussed mitigation and cost of bringing everything back to normal after the oil spill by BP. This was a major disaster to wildlife and ocean life in the Gulf of Mexico. Perhaps our current president sees how important climate change is to many? After all, the person of the year is a 16-year-old from Sweden who is standing firm on climate change. Yet, instead of praise, the U.S President must knock down someone who is trying to make change. I wonder what would, if anything, make him realize the change is necessary during his presidency? Whatever must change, will change by the full moon in 2048, but not at the same degree though.
No matter what happens, the Earthy New Moon brings a time of intelligence and growth. It is a period of individual serenity, but also a time to search for the unfathomable sense in what one has created and what is about to be created. The question will remain, how can one assimilate the vision into the world for the greater good of all?
The new moon indicates a time of progress. There is a longing to act, to dispose of things that no longer serve a purpose in one’s life. This new moon will greatly affect Capricorns and those that have Capricorn in their chart.
This new moon at 6 degrees, give or take depending upon the orb, is really renovating Capricorns. With the Sun, Venus, and Pluto being in Capricorn, it is time for Capricorns, and those that have Capricorn in their chart, to look at what needs to go. It does not help to hold on to the past nor does it help to repeat the same mistakes over and over, looking for different results.
According to VPAT (Vedic Philosophical Ayurvedic Theories), Mars will now move into Scorpio on the day of the eclipse, which is where it loves to be. Therefore, expect secrets to be kept by men. Additionally, Mercury will also move into Scorpio which means that conversations and negotiations will be hidden or secretive. Jupiter will remain in Sagittarius where there is plenty of possibility for expansion of career and financial development.
Contrary to Jupiter, Saturn, the lord of hard work and difficult lessons, is also in Sagittarius which means to be profitable it will take plenty of work. To add to this transformation, Ketu is also in Sagittarius which represents a major change which could cause sadness, depression, and losses which force one to turn to the universal energy, instead of others, for answers.
This leaves several other planets to be addressed. Rahu, which is in Gemini until the spring, often acts like Saturn when it ends by transforming the person into a more sincere person by realizing that they do not need to mold everyone in their image. Chiron has already gone direct in Aries where the nature of the beast is that many Aries’ will feel alone and feel as though no one is supporting them, while Uranus in Taurus is transforming our economy and material goods.
The moon urges you to distinguish and uplift the significance of the “other” – other people, other philosophies, and other standards. Relationships are of great status at this time, and feeling to share, unite, and partner, whether lovingly or through other channels, is vital to many at this time.
We are now called upon to work primarily on stability; the steadiness of your core nature and outer personality, the balance of your need to take with your aptitude to donate, and the balance of your vital principles with what is possible in the world. Capricorn Moon sets us traditionally up the mountainside toward our highest goals.
This is the time to Secure, Pray and be Grateful, and to work on usefulness and affluence. A touch of partiality, disposition, achievement, and individual strategies could have a propensity to force the energy to act thoughtlessly and passionately.
The energy is faultless for decency and self-respect in all things; thus, articulating feelings may be difficult. Every condition becomes solemn and every feeling that is present is needed to consider the outcome of the words you may speak. Control, drive, acknowledgement, achievements, and preserving relationships are the key to this new moon. You look to your mother for discipline and order and may see her as a person of high status.

Generally, while the Moon is in Capricorn energy is lethargic. It is time for industriously applying yourself to tasks while living solely in the present.
As this is a Sagittarius/Capricorn Eclipse, I will be emphasizing both in this blog.
Please remember this is not a western or Vedic predisposition. Rather, this is VPAT which combines, astrology, numerology, and constellations as their steppingstones with 80-90% accuracy of actions and reactions including mitigations to make sure that the transformations are smooth.
Whether there is a full or new moon (whichever comes first) in any characteristic (astrology sign) more about that characteristic will be explained during those times. Please note those that Sagittarius, Capricorn, Gemini, and Cancer will have the most impact through this eclipse.
Sagittarius and Capricorn.
This is a remarkable eclipse in Capricorn as it will transform Capricorn in 2020. Furthermore, the planet of Saturn is also moving into Capricorn where it loves to be. But for now, it is transforming Sagittarius but slowly moving into Capricorn. These changes are already remarkable.
As I sat and watched the house votes on impeachment it was very interesting. Sagittarius wants justice and Capricorn can be very stubborn. The slow planets always make the greatest impact on people’s lives; those planets are Saturn, Ketu, Rahu, and Jupiter. Capricorns will be very happy that, by Spring, Jupiter (planet of expansion) will enter their sign.
But a couple of months later it will question Capricorns to make sure what and how they are doing something is what they should be doing. Then again, Saturn (planet of difficult lessons with a gratitude) will also move into Capricorn in January. Lastly, Ketu is transforming Sagittarius as well and will move into Taurus in early summer. Whatever is happening right now is going to be transforming to both signs.
Capricorn:
You have continued to go through one transformation after another. Just remember this is the second to last eclipse you will have, and another won’t come for another 7 years. You have one more eclipse in the summer of 2020 then you will be free to plant your own seeds for 7 years. For the next 6 months or so you may incur plenty of stress but stay alert and focused on your path and goal as much as possible. Be very scrupulous about your health as well. There is a possibility of conflicts and differences of opinion with the people you care for. Independence and character may be influenced by negativity which will not be caused by any of your actions but those you have no control over. You may feel overwhelmed that you are not able to focus, and worries may overwhelm you. (Due to technical difficulties I will expand this in a couple of days)
Saturn: It seems you will feel much more comfortable when Saturn moves into your sign. You will have positive results in areas of work and financial status. But hard work may cause some minor headaches and the older you are, the more difficulties you will have with your eyes and joints. There is a possibility of depression. You will have plenty of work and perhaps after the summer you may want to start your own business or work remotely.
Uranus: Though Uranus is moving backwards, soon after the next eclipse it will be direct. There is so much changing in your life you may not understand all of it. Independence, individuality, and expressiveness is the first step. There is a possibility of a move, family changes, and experiences of sparks of intuition. Enjoy!
Maharani’s Advice for Capricorn:
Remember, you must incline yourself towards more spiritual and religious practices, through which you will become even stronger in every aspect. Once you have done this you will notice every aspect of your life is falling into place.
Sagittarius:
Your complete predictions will be expanded during your full moon as there are many transits which are leaving your sign and entering Capricorn. However, be a little cautious as minor accidents are bound to occur and there could also be minor conflicts with family members. In addition, there is a possibility that you may not feel as happy you would like to be. Therefore, making new friends will lead to profound connections for your future. You will realize that your circle of friends has a new face lift due to the fact old friends no longer serve your purpose. Take care with your finances as they could suffer a hit; so be grounded in every financial decision. If you practice spirituality this could be the most beautiful transformation as Saturn, Jupiter, and Ketu move away from you by this spring.
Ketu: Unexpected travel and expenses are possible. Children and family may cause frustration, but it is time for you to remain calm. The more you are inclined towards religious or spiritual activities the more you can have peace of mind.
Rahu: Education, paying off debts, and travel will be a positive transit for you. There may be a professional network change where you may see that you do not have the type of support you had once wanted. Be careful not to discuss your work ethics with others as you may be seen in a negative way. You may have some issues with your personal relationships as well.
Jupiter: Remember that Jupiter will move into your sign in Spring 2020. This means you will be blessed, however, be careful with your weight; as we become comfortable, there is often a propensity of weight gain. The best way to handle any difficulties between now and March is to know that spirituality will bring you peace. Relationships with your loved ones will also change. You may decide to further your education, thus giving you the recognition which you are yearning for.
Saturn: Finally, some sign of relief. Not only will things look up, this transit has been going on for you for quite some time. Relationships will do much better than ever before. Financially you will be recognized for the work you have done in the past and are doing now. But try not to work so hard as your defenses against minor colds are low. Promotions, financial growth, and focusing on furthering your studies will be excellent for you.
Uranus: It’s time to be more flexible and be more independent in aspects of your career. Due to unforeseen circumstances, there may be a change in your work environment. There is a possible change in what you do, such as your profession or your duties, but once you do it and you do it independently you will feel as though you have a sense of emancipation. Whatever you do, take alternative paths rather than the same routines.
Maharani’s Advice for Sagittarius:
This is a time for change. Remember you have eclipses coming next year in your sign to make sure you stick to your change. Success will occur in areas of goals, dreams, relationships, and finances; as long as you take things realistically and slowly
As Sagittarius and Capricorn are impacted by this eclipse, the next two signs that will also go through a transformation are Gemini and Cancer. However, keep in mind the next eclipse in January will also be the vital change for both signs; therefore, it will be elaborated a little more at that time. Cancers will have two more eclipses then they will plant the seeds necessary for their future transformation. It is recommended that all Cancers get a reading done next year as those seeds have 7 years to germinate. For Gemini’s, your Rahu transformation will be complete by the spring of 2020, however, be very prepared as your transformation will begin in the fall of 2020.
Cancer: Enjoy this moment as you will have plenty of bliss. Your health, your character, and hard work will soon pay off, and finally you can work on your debts so that you feel a bit more relief.
Gemini: If you are involved in a relationship or are married this is not the best time for you. You may feel your partner is not living up to your expectations which could cause minor conflicts. This could also spill over into finances if you are sharing them. Additionally, you may not get the recognition you so desire and you may want to get into minor spats with your co-workers which should be avoided.
The eclipse is in fire/earth signs so, by domain, many of you will be impacted indirectly. Leo’s have completed most of their transformations and now continue to plant their seeds. Aries are going through a midlife crisis of sorts with Chiron making them look at the bigger picture in their lives.
Aries: There could be ongoing conflicts, not only with family, buy also on the career front. There could also be instances where they may involve themselves into scandalous and offensive dilemmas which could cause depression and anxiety. On the other hand, financial situations will get better, however, it will not surprise me if their health becomes an issue in the next 6 months or so.
Leo: Make sure you dot your i’s and cross your t’s in everything you do. There is a possibility where work must be redone due to sloppiness, and if this occurs your organizational reputation may be spoiled. Stomach issues are possible and be mindful of your finances.
Virgos also went through their Jupiter and eclipse transits, and it may be quite a while before they are affected by much. However, Taurus will go through a 7-year cycle of change as Uranus changes their entire life. I will emphasize Aries and Taurus prior to Leo and Virgo as the impact is much more severe for them.
Taurus: The tempers are rising where something small will turn into things which are wished not to have been said. There could be situations where things may become depressing. This may be due to conflicts which did not need to occur, or unnecessary worries. Make sure you take care of your diet, sleep, and exercise daily, otherwise it will take a toll on you.
Virgo: Possible disagreements with family members may occur which could cause you concern and uncertainties with little peace of mind. Take care of your finances. You should also be cautious while driving as there could be accidents that should be avoided.
There are no real difficult planetary shifts for Aquarius, who completed their eclipse series, and Libra who also completed their own.
Aquarius: Your health will begin to take a turn for the better. You will have financial, mental, and spiritual support from people that matter to you.
Libra: Financial gains are possible for you. Any travel that you do will also be beneficial. Your work life will see advantages for you. In almost every front this eclipse will be blissful.
Scorpio went through a 7-year Saturn transit and their eclipses will not be until 2022, and Pisces recently also went through their own eclipse. Even though these signs will not be affected as much, it is imperative to understand that most water signs are always affected by the eclipse.
Pisces: Your financial reputation and career life is about to take off. You will soon take a leadership position in something which you may have never thought was possible. Enjoy the ride.
Scorpio: Financial losses are possible, and you may feel as though you are hitting walls as far as financial gains are concerned. Be careful not to have conflicts with those whom you work with. Make sure you have peace of mind, otherwise you may feel you are hitting walls in areas of work. Be mindful in your financial structure.
