New Moon in Sagittarius
November 22, 2014
Our skies will be once again be voided by the new moon on November 22, 2014. The new moon in Sagittarius at 0 degrees and 7 minutes (depending on the orb) will go void at approximately 7:32am EST, and 4:32 am PST.
The last time the moon was as close to this degree was in November 2003 when it was at 1 degree. Scorpio New moon was also at 1 degree. Sagittarius calls for the truth and Scorpio is governed by Pluto (something hidden). During the 1 degree moon all that was hidden came to light. J.P Morgan Bank was accused of foreign exchange fraud; an arrest warrant went out for Michael Jackson, the Iraq war was fully under way through the direction of George W. Bush, and finally after many years of battle, India and Pakistan announced their cease fire in the Kashmir region. Basically what was hidden came to light; what was fair came to settle.
The new moon will affect early degrees of Sagittarius, meaning November 21 through 25 as well as impact Sun signs in Sagittarius and progressed charts. But it could also affect mutable signs since Sagittarius is a mutable sign (Gemini, Virgo and Pisces). To have an exact understanding on how this moon will affect you please consult my recommended Astrologers, Leslie Hale or Xtrology.
The New Moon is about a creation of something through dynamism and illumination. The energy is just right to investigate the change needed in your life and to able to look at one’s life in a whole new prospective. The change could be as simple as changing what you wear, or taking a different route to work or play. There is definite energy to act from the essence and to follow your drives. Living in the moment to make things happen in your life is also a part of the new moon process. Asking yourself what you want to have and how you are able to acquire this will be the theme for all.
However, the best part of this moon is that it is in Sagittarius. This means that it’s time to play and socialize. It is also about music, art, and the finer things in life. It’s about manifesting desires and the reasons why. There is a greater need to approach clashes in a calm and steady manner to overcome oppositions. However, as Sagittarius searches for the truth there is a tendency of willfulness when the argument is in your favor and you may become defensive. At the same time, Sagittarius’ want peace but in their terms. So why not make music or draw art instead of making war.
During the Sagittarius moon it is time to encourage others by making sure everyone is content. It is also a time of being protective where this type of energy often makes sure that a motherly figure will be a joy to ones life. Speaking honorably and straight to the point may be harsh but it so real. But this moon also signifies taking accountability in areas of family and those whom you love. It could mean spending more time with the ones you love, but how will you do that when you also may become very busy working? This moon is quite sociable, but having to tear yourself between family, friends, and responsibility may cause you to be unconventional and stubborn. Be careful of your words and be gentle; the new moon will be a very calming affect. Perhaps take a trip by the ocean or the sea, or read a book instead of stretching yourself too thin; make sure you take time for yourself.
The Moon in Sagittarius brings a time of exciting action looking for and wanting enjoyment which is spur-of-the-moment. People may feel more brave, outgoing, enjoyable, and loving. It is a good time for discovering happiness, visions, and for increases in the mind and soul.
Like the Archer that represents Sagittarius, people may have a fondness toward seeking out validity, higher connotation, following the sixth sense, and a journey of the unknown. While the desire for independence will be strong, people may want to do what they want, when they want, and be impulsive and independent. These inclinations can cause anxiety and a strong need for independence.
Moon in Sagittarius is very sincere through understanding, intelligence. Drama is always around when there is a chaotic situation. People with Sagittarius in their chart are prone to treat others with respect, compassion, and a sense of humor. The truth is the truth no matter how you say, it even if it hurts; self-accountability is the highest priority.
Sagittarius people are deeply offended by dishonesty and are great at teaching and coaching others while also being great students. Every touching challenge is learning and perfecting their skills while helping others with their own experiences.
The moon in Sagittarius is sincere, straightforward, energetic, self-confident, and smart. We must remain neutral. It is my suggestion that you purchase an Orange candle and carve your name through to the wick. Anoint the candle with sandalwood or Lavender oil and chant Psalm 17.
You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is dependent upon the quality of intention. When it comes to finding satisfying interaction, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but are a powerful source of energy. The mantra for Sagittarius moon is:
“Om Gurave Nahmaha”
(Om Goo rah vey Nahm ah ha)
This mantra begins to awaken and activate the entire charka. It specifically prepares the charka to be able to handle the inflow of Jupiter energy that give chakra its power.
With every moon rotation, remember to cross out the old affirmations, even if there is the slightest change and create new ones. The perfect number for aspirations is 10. This means to list 10 aspirations and recite them every night until the next moon cycle. Remember, never make the affirmations begin with “I want”, they must be worded “I need to be guided…”
Please remember, I am not an Astrologer nor do I claim to be. However, support of sun and moon placement acts as a function to gain potential of the future of Vedic transformation sequences. Vedic readings are quite unusual in many perspectives and not to be confused with Vedic Astrology. Vedic readings are specific to the future within a 90 day period of time. The philosophy asks how one can change the future when we are not accepting of the present, as well as showing the need to change today to better tomorrow since we can not change the past. Vedic reading focuses on actions and reactions since each element is ego driven to emphasize harmony or destruction.
