Auspicious Preludes: New Moon in Taurus 2017

New Moon in Taurus

April 26, 2017

By Maharani Rutan©

Hooray! Spring has sprung! Mother Nature is making sure we know it by slowing down humanity through the orders of the Devine. But this moon is a very special moon in many ways; it’s an auspicious moon in VPAT (Vedic Philosophical Ayurvedic Theories). There is an old saying; if you want to do something or plan something and you need luck, then do so one-half hour before the void of the moon.

VPAT also calls this moon the lucky moon. This is the day when the moon will turn into a new moon one-half hour before unification of the sun. Theory goes to explain that any planet in the solar system whose center directional sphere is within 15 to 19 minutes from the sun is very auspicious. It brings serenity to humanity and luck with serendipity.

The New moon will void our skies on April 26, 2017 at 5:16am PST and 8:16am EST. But the energy will be graced through 6 degrees in Taurus, depending upon the orb. This type of energy has never been repeated before, though we may have come really close in 2009 when new moon was in Taurus at 5 degrees or in 2006 when it was in 7 degrees. But every degree does make a difference on the impact to the behavior patterns of humanity. If you miss your chance to make the 30-minute window of luck, don’t worry, in 2036 it will be back at the same exact degree and you can try again.

New moon is influential in many ways; often they are known as wishing days. If there are any wishes that one has, they can be fruitful so long as they are selfless, non-biased, humble, and are not single-minded or focused. The luck will always be granted based upon needs, never wants or desires.

It is also a time of reawakening when we give ourselves a fresh start. A moon in Taurus grants a brilliant time to compel individual objective and the teachings circle around luxury and contentedness. Emotional responses are tranquil and stable, while shying away from hostility. However, if there is un-justness, there will be stubbornness when defending a position – never backing down.

Moon will guide a time of attentiveness and sensibleness. People may feel more conventional and steady. This is a virtuous time to endure or to conclude tasks that have previously been in progress, as people may be more trustworthy and comprehensive. This may have a lot to do with Mercury now moving away from Taurus and going back into Aries allowing a slight lifting of the pressure (read more here).

On the other side of the coin, Taurus loves expensive things and lately it has been very uncomfortable. Taurus loves consistency and Jupiter has not been consistent as it moved rretrograde in January (according to VPAT), in Virgo; it will not be direct for another 2 more months. This may cause many Taurus’ or those that have Taurus anywhere in their chart to act bull-headed — reluctant to compromise and be quarrelsome. Care needs to be taken to avoid pleasure-seeking and extreme anxiety or longing for material possessions.

Saturn is still retrograding in Sagittarius, which could cause some fire signs or those that have fire in their chart to be edgy, and cranky. While some mutable signs may be a tad bit depressed because mercury still retrograding. Just remember Dear Taurus, your just a little confused and feel your luck may be running dry, casinos are a not a place to be. Perhaps for half hour during the void of the moon.

While the universe may be nudging your luck, you have positives on your side, Dear Taurus. Some are suffering through the negative energy of Pluto Retrograde which started as of the 18th of April. This the time for you to learn, dream, envision, go to school; remember that class you wanted to take, or special technique you wanted to learn? But you just could not focus. Well, guess what! The universe is giving you a second chance, how about that! Enjoy yourself!

Since, moon in Taurus represents Stress-free, Applied, Sensual, Tolerant, and Persistent. We must use the practical senses. Remember the 10 aspirations. Don’t forget to cross the ones you have already accomplished and make new ones. Don’t forget to manifest matters concerning materialistic things at this time. And most of all, don’t forget to light a white candle that day, carve your name on the candle, anoint the candle with Frankincense oil, and chant Psalm 65 three times.

You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is dependent upon the quality of intention. When it comes to finding a satisfying relationships and success, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but are a powerful source of energy.

This year I have chosen to introduce two mantras; one which will be easy mantra for those learning the practice of reciting, and another for those who are experts. The mantra for Taurus moon is:

Easy

Om Hreeng Kleeng Shreeng

(ooommm Hriiiing Kliing Shriieeng)

Difficult

Om Gopalaya Uttardhvajaya Namah

Please note I am not an astrologer; I am a Certified Vedic Philosophical Ayurvedic Reader. Our theories are not based upon exact numeration nor exactness at all, we use place holders as unique characters and symbols as souls in the universe and believe everything is a possibility. In addition, if we know of something ahead of time, we can avoid it and evade trouble by changing outcomes or the way we view it which can alter any severity.

If you had your 6-month reading with me in February check both of your lists and manifest your positives.

Wishing you a very productive new moon in Taurus 2017.

Please be careful regarding communications and relationship issues until at least mercury is direct.

Principle of Pleasure or Pressure: Full Moon in Libra 2017

Full Moon in Libra

April 11, 2017

By Maharani Rutan©

On April 11, 2017, we will have a full moon transiting in Aires/Libra at 22 degrees. The full radiance can be seen around 2:08 am EST and 11:08 pm PST. However, this is a very auspicious day. Not only is it a full moon, but for many Hindu practitioners it is also “Hanuman Jayanti”. I will explain more about this magnificent day a little later.

According to the ancient astronomers, depending upon which region you reside in, the April full moon names were unique due to the culture. The first full moon in April is usually referred to as a Pink moon, or the Grass Moon. Often the mention of the Pink moon is due to the shade of herb moss that resembles dusty pink during the full moon light. While Green moon represents the robust color of the grass during the spring season bringing that life back to grass on the ground

It has been theorized that full moons disturb our opinions of people and frequently make us short-tempered. The methodical facts show that the density of the water current against the moon is the basis of numerous intermittent behaviors in people. Water is attracted towards the moon when the moon is full which intensifies the pressure of water retention and hermitages around the world including people, places and things.

As human beings, we are deep-thinking and our thoughts will be a bit slanted on the full moon night; just as the moon’s gravitational pull affects the ocean’s tides, so too will it pull us from one direction to another. The full moon may cause unexpected behavior and elicit wrath, premature labor, and bleeding.

Some people may not feel the effects of this moon, but it depends on several aspects. Primarily affected are those that have many planets in water and they could find this full moon to cause headaches, fatigue and possible sickness 5-7 days before and after the full moon. Additionally, if there is water and Libra in the chart it is a double whammy. Nonetheless, everything becomes flawless and more focused under the light of the Full Moon – desire and self-esteem can become quite exaggerated, and we may have more cognizance of, and a spotlight on, relationships. There is a good chance of getting a surge of energy from the light of the Moon and have more luminous dreams.

However, daydreaming and taking those dreams to the next level, may be a little bit more difficult this spring. According to Vedic Philosophical Ayurvedic Theories, there are four planets in retrograde, some of which have already been retrograding. Please note that these theories are a unique style of philosophies and neither Western, nor Vedic Astrology’s have the same idea.

VPAT (Vedic Philosophical Ayurvedic Theory) states that the first magnificent planet to go retrograde is Jupiter which is currently sitting in Virgo; thus, by association, it is affecting all earth signs (Taurus, Capricorn and Virgo). It will remain retrograde (1/28/2017) until June 29, 2017, which could cause money, luck, and financial progression to be a slower for those that have planets in those that were mentioned above. (Read more about it here).

The second outstanding planet that is always is misunderstood but is a teacher of karma is Saturn. VPAT positioned Saturn to be in Scorpio until January 15 and moving into Sagittarius on the 16th where it went retrograde and will remain retrograde until April 16, 2017. Saturn is about the importance of diligence through grief. People who are modest, honest, having faith in God face few problems as they are the benefactor of Saturn. Saturn will remain in Sagittarius from April 16 through June 06, 2017 when it goes back into Scorpio once again. There are numbers of people affected by this retrograde thus proving important for all. (Read about Saturn in Scorpio here) and (Saturn in Sagittarius here).

Third is our wonderful trickster, Mercury, who comes knocking at our door three times a year and is the most hated planet. However, he should be the most loved planet as he brings to us a time to reconsider all things in our lives to make sure we don’t make the same mistakes. VPAT considered his opening and transiting retrograde to be on March 23 and will continue in his path until May 21-23, 2017. The most effected signs will be Taurus (all earth signs Capricorn, Virgo), Mutable signs (Pisces and Gemini) and all those that have earth and mutable signs anywhere in their charts. Read about it here

Lastly, five days after the full moon and around the time of the eclipse, Pluto, the most misunderstood planet but the most powerful, makes its move. The retrograde will begin on April 15, 2017 and it will continue until the first week of September. Pluto generally retrogrades only once a year and is about rebirth and regeneration. But remember, the universe places this in our lives to give us the willpower to let go and eliminate. If you don’t let go, the events in your life will force the issue.

With all these planets retrograding, the full moon push and pull, the power of prayer, and Hanuman Jayanti will be the most welcoming spiritual phase. Hanuman Jayanti is celebration of the birth of Hanuman who was a faithful devotee of Lord Rama. But he too had supernatural powers and helped save Lord Rama’s wife Sita from evil Ramayan. His devotion was so strong that he could move mountains and clouds through his faith.

Many Hindu devotees celebrate this day differently; however, in Gujarat they fast the entire day. They go to Hanuman or Lord Rama’s temples by the hundreds and pray. It has been told in the scriptures that he was born at sunrise; therefore, most people begin worshiping at sunrise after a holy bath. Puja and Prasad is usually performed and ancient traditions state that people who worship him symbolize him as a devotion of strength, energy, and devotion. Hanuman is also known as the 11th avatar of Lord Shiva.

All relationships are about devotion and strength, and Shiva always represents a male and female energy thus the placement of the full moon is perfect. This moon is positioned to convey light on relationship issues; the sun in Aries will bring opposition in everyone. It’s an echo of one’s self in others’ lives and whatever that is put out there will come back, whether good or bad; therefore, being the best you can be will be the optimal way to go. Focusing on the needs of others will defiantly bring brownie points during this full moon emphasis.

Libra Moon values peaceful relationships. Appeasing people that are close and encouraging people to look after others with kindness and enjoyable manner with music and beautiful things. Libra Moon needs close friendship, company, or marriage to feel cherished and safe. A need for peace, harmony, and enjoyable surroundings is a must. In emotional situations, the Libra Moon tends to act very realistically and endeavors to make fair decisions. People will have strong compassion to, and attraction for, others. This comes from the Libras search for harmony and balance, for the Libra nature accentuates teamwork.

Since moon in Libra represents Amiable, Beautiful, and Comfortable, Open-minded, and Loving, it is my suggestion for us to remain balanced. This full moon is extraordinary to many signs. It is my suggestion that you purchase a yellow candle and carve your name through to the wick. Anoint the candle with lavender oil or peppermint oil and chant the Psalm 26.

You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle.

Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is dependent upon the quality of intention. When it comes to finding satisfying relationships, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but are a powerful source of energy. For this year, I have chosen two mantras for Libra moon:

Easy:

Om Hreeng Kleeng Shreeng

(oooom Hriiiinnng Kliiiing shhhhhriiing)

Difficult:

Om Tatva Niranjanaya Tarakramaya Namah

This mantra produces the excellence of friendship.

Remember to cross out the old affirmations, even if there is only the slightest change, and create new ones. The perfect number for aspiration is 10. This means to list 10 aspirations and recite them every night until the next moon cycle. Remember, never make the affirmations begin with “I balance”, they must be worded “I need balance in my life with friendship and love.”

This blog focuses on tendencies which may not individually relate to a person’s chart, rather it is a stepping stone for the tendencies of our environment. To find out how this full moon will affect you astrologically, it is advisable to set up a time with a recommended astrological advisor, Lee Stillwater or Leslie Hale.

A Vedic reading embraces a variable destiny and the forks that lay ahead for Karmic changes. It also embraces how our own wiliness to beautify and make changes allows prosperity and happiness in our lives. A Vedic reading is a pathway to changes and acceptable things in our lives whereas Astrology brings a foundation of the path. Together they bring a symphony of cohesion bringing peaceful resolutions.

Wishing you a harmonious full moon.
