New Moon in Taurus

May 17/18, 2015

Between the Lunar and Solar eclipses, mercury retrograde, and Saturn, something had to give but perhaps the universe will force us to be busy and start something very creative.

The new moon in Taurus at 27 degrees (give or take 6 degree orb) will void across the sky on May 18, 2015 at 12:13 am EST, 9:13 pm (May 17, 2015) PST. Those that will be affected by this moon will be those that have later degrees in Taurus or anywhere in their chart.

By the time this moon voids our skies Mercury retrograde will be at its highest intensity in Gemini. Unfortunately, it won’t really give in and move forward to stationing until June 11, 2015. This is will be a very difficult transit for all air signs (Libra, Aquarius and Gemini) as well as mutable signs (Pisces, Virgo and Sagittarius). Mercury won’t station direct completely until June 25, 2015. Which means most of us will have feelings that we are ambiguous about and there are still good opportunities to revisit things from the past. Read about Mercury retrograde here.

New moon is significant in many ways as hopeful gratification days. This means if the aspirations are deprived of bias and egotism then they would most likely occur. Sometimes it can cause misunderstanding and our needs become a struggle with our wants. The new moon is also a time of regeneration – a time when fresh starts are needed.

For Cancers however, this can be a very beautiful time as Venus entered your sign on May 07, 2015. But Venus in Cancer does not mean it is only meaningful to Cancerians, it means also that where it concerns a committed relationship it will be predictable by sharing love. However, Cancer, Gemini, and Leos will be gratified by this. There will be a whole lot of love shared by many. This may not last forever though Cancers and Gemini’s as Venus will change signs in Leo in June. Nevertheless, Mars also changed signs in Gemini and it will be a little lighter than when it was in Taurus in March. Mars will stay in Gemini until August so enjoy the aggressive personality dear Gemini. But be very wise and careful as you can be very flighty and often times cruel without knowing it. To find out how Venus and Mars directly affects you, I suggest you contact my recommended adviser, Leslie Hale (here).

Hence, the dance is going to be with Jupiter and Pluto. Jupiter is a sign of abundance, sitting in Leo at the moment, and Pluto is still in Capricorn in retrograde motion. Which means: can fire and earth collide or dance? Absolutely they can and they can work well together depending upon other planets. For more information on Jupiter and Pluto you may contact Xtrology of Hollywood.

The New Moon signals a time of evolving. There is a craving to have success and begin something inventive, be it a small change in the way daily life is approached or a brand new journey in life.

A moon in Taurus presents an excellent time to move to individual purpose; the lessons rotate around comfort and being happy. The energy is right for making spontaneous change and following through with your predispositions. This is the time to act from hunger, believing, taking risk, living in the moment, and dancing to one’s own drummer.

The New Moon blesses new beginnings and inspires to take the risk! Searching reasons to create something new, with a dream of manifestation of imaginings and turning them into reality. Emotional reactions are tranquil and stable, while shying away from any confrontation. However, if there is a strong feeling or determination, this will push you toward inflexibility and selfishness. There is greater need for a tranquil environment. Perhaps a need to be artistic through music or singing, but there is a greater necessity to nurture others by proving for their necessities and being the feminine side.

The Moon in Taurus ushers in a time of watchfulness and sensibleness. People may feel more fundamental and firm. This is a good time to continue or to conclude ventures that have already been started, as people may be more dependable and methodical. Like the stubborn Bull representative of Taurus, people may be bull-headed — reluctant to conciliation and confrontational. Care needs to be taken to avoid intemperance and extreme worry or longing for material possessions.

Since the moon in Taurus represents Tranquil, Concrete, Sensual, Enduring, and Persistent, we must use the sensible wisdom. It is recommended to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras accomplishing the anticipated outcome is contingent upon the value of purpose. When it comes to finding a nourishing relationships and success, it is of the utmost importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but are a powerful source of energy. The mantra for
Taurus moon is:

Om Sri shukraya Namaha

(om Shri Shu Kra Ya Nama Ha)

For Hindu followers there is an additional mantra I suggest for you to calm the energy.

Om Shante Prashante Sarva Dambha Upsha Mani Swaha

(Om Sha nte Pra shan te Sar va Dam Bhai Up Sha Ma ni Swa ha)

Additionally, we are still under retrograde energy, therefore I recommend continuation of the mantras from the Mercury retrograde blog. See more here.

If you have had a 6 months reading with me back in March but did not have one in April I suggest you get a 3 months reading as to the progress. However, having this reading before the 18th or 19th is pivotal when mercury will be affecting relationships and other aspects of one’s life.

Remember the 12 objectives. Don’t forget to cross the ones you have already consummated and make new ones. Don’t forget to manifest matters regarding worldly things at this time. And most of all, don’t forget to light a white candle that day, carve your name on the candle, anoint the candle with Frankincense oil, and chant Psalm 65 three times.

Many people have asked the question how often they should have a reading done by a psychic or tarot reader. In my opinion Vedic in depth readings should be done every moon cycle. Since every moon cycle represents a transformation, it not only affects our external forces but our internal forces as well.

When dealing with a tragic situation it is my suggestion that before you have a reading done you must clear away negativity and fear from your emotions so that a reader can give you the clearest reading possible.

May this moon bring productivity and prosperity in everything you do.
