May 03, 2015

We are almost moving into summer in North America and Europe. The eclipse in March and April made a great many changes for all of us. Tomorrow also begins another celestial slow down with Mercury retrograde entering its ghost period. (read about it here)

This beautiful full moon, known as the full flower moon or Mothers Moon, has been named after the cycles of births. In the month of May many flowers are beginning to bloom and the snow has melted. But it is mostly in the summer time that many children are born thus naming it the Mothers Moon.

May 03,2015, skies will be lit brightly but not “the” brightest as the time of the super moon, however it will be bright enough for almost everyone to see. At approximately 11:42pm EST the full moon will enter the sign at 13 degrees in Scorpio depending upon the orb. At the same time, the Wesak festival begins.

Better known as the Wesak festival, it is also known as a festival of the sun. There are three days of the festival. It always occurs on the first full moon in May. I have always recalled in almost every one of my blogs that in the Hindu philosophies, Full moons are auspicious; they are called Poonam. Many eastern philosophies believe that the full moon brings births and rebirths.

The Wesak celebration marks the three stages of Buddha’s life: birth, enlightenment, and 3rd is option which is death. The full moon with the sun in Taurus is a very powerful moon as I mentioned earlier. It has been mentioned that every major phenomenon that Buddha experienced, birth, spiritual awakening, and death, or rather resurrection to the Devine, all happened on the Wesak (Full moon in the sun of Taurus). I do not know too much about Buddhism but it is one philosophy that has been adopted from, or into, Hinduism. It has been told that Buddhism and Hinduism are very much alike since Buddha was surrounded by Hindu Priests and practiced the rituals until he found his enlightenment. For those who are interested in watching the history of Buddha’s life, I recommend the following subtitled documentary:

The Moon at 13 degrees in Scorpio has not been felt this intensely since May 4, 2004 when it hit our orbit at the same degree.

However, in the eyes of Vedic readings, this moon will be very substantial to Scorpios who should expect the unexpected. Having four planets in Scorpio, including the sun and moon, this will be a very intense period for Scorpios, indeed. However, if you fear, there will naturally be an attraction to negativity. This moon is not about pain, it is about letting go, reawakening, rebirth, and assimilation.

For Scorpios and ascendant of Scorpios, you may have confusion with your partner, there is something hidden, but it was not really hidden, rather, it was chosen to be overlooked. Whatever you find out should be of no surprise. But, if you are in a vigorous relationship and married it could mean that you have the edge this month. Especially in areas of communication with your partner. If you are not married, an engagement or a wedding is in the air for some of you. Whatever it is, romance has no shortage. This is only if the relationship is healthy.

Love and Romance go wild under a Full Moon, especially around the wee hours. In a full moon you may become extremely objective, clear minded, and aware of your own needs as well as the needs of others. Traditionally, the early Europeans knew this that full moon was a time for plants and herbs to be harvested and dried as the richness of the first harvest was realized.

In Native Lore, Full Moons are known as the moon of ripening sweet berries. As ripe berries were gathered and used for paints, dyes, and as a source of Vitamin C. Health and creativity are emphasized and there is a sense of well-being and drama to this lunation.

The Moon in Scorpio marks a time of powerful hunger and yearnings. People may be feeling more acceleration and more stimulating, as well as being triggered and practical. In general, emotions at both ends of the spectrum are discriminating and likely to vary quite a bit throughout this influence. Connections on a deep level could be made with members of the opposite sex with the Moon in Scorpio.

Scorpio possesses a mysterious and penetrating nature. Feelings of suspicion and vengeance may rise, so special caution is needed to avoid conflicts. The Scorpio Full Moon can be a substance for power urges, which can often result in forcefulness or even homicidal impulses.

Since, moon in Scorpio represents Headstrong, Willful, Hot-Tempered, Brave, and Energetic, it is my suggestion for us to remain balanced. This full moon is extraordinary to many signs. It is my suggestion that you purchase a white candle and carve your name through to the wick. Anoint the candle with lavender and sandalwood oils, and chant Psalm 39.

You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is dependent upon the quality of intention. Also, when it comes to finding satisfying relationships, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but are a powerful source of energy. The mantra for Scorpio moon is:

“Om Angarakaya Namaha”

(Om An-ga-ra-ka-ya Na-ma-ha)

This mantra is to call to the lord of peace and removal of any obstacles in your way.

The intention of this mantra is to keep us in balance and from losing our temper through darkness and unfocused energy.

Please remember that I am NOT an astrologer, rather a Vedic reader who incorporates Astronomy, Astrology, and Vedic tendencies to build the most accurate readings which show the pathway to change and reliance.
It is my suggestion that prior to getting a reading from me, you should contact one of my recommend astrologers, Leslie Hale or Lee Stillwaters, and have them lead you to your conclusion and let me be your guide to avoid pitfalls.

This will be the only Full moon, next to the super moon, during which I will suggest meditating for most of the day. Since this will be 2/3 for the EST time zone, it can be possible if you want to go into a deeper spiritual inclination.

May this moon be as super as it seems and allow the transformation to take over through spirituality and understanding.
