Prisms of color lighting the moon: Full moon in Virgo 2015

Full moon in Virgo

Holli Celebration

March 05, 2015

By Maharani Rutan©

Our last full moon before the eclipse will light up the sky to make us aware that something is about to change and we must work hard. The full moon in Virgo will be orbiting at 14 degrees in Virgo (give or take a few degrees depending upon the orb) on March 05, 2015 at 1:05pm EST.

Some of the worst transits, and those that just bring irritability, have moved passed us. Now, communication should flow better, and we are seeing things much more clear. As a matter of fact, those that have Aries somewhere in their chart will not be shy or subtle about what they want in their lives; this is especially true when Mars (Sex & Men) and Venus (Passion & Woman) is in their life. Some may be very direct in what they want. Charm, magnetism, sexual or romantic relationships is what they want, and they want it now.

Aries and other Cardinal signs also become clearer with what they want. Sagittarius and those with primary planets in Sagittarius are going through a major transformation. These changes will be very unsettling as Saturn returns in Sagittarius and continues to transform (Read about it here). The intense period will bring some relief to Sagittarius in the summer as Saturn swings back into Scorpio for its last transit. (Read about it here)

But one of the most auspicious times next to Diwali is Holli in the Hinduism. Holli has many different meanings. Some call it “Spring Festival”, “Celebration of Good vs Evil” and others are a Celebration of Brotherhood. It begins on March 04, 2015 with a giant bonfire to signify burning of evil souls and saying goodbye to darkness and bringing light to many.

The following day Holli celebration begin with parties, food, and throwing of powder colors in bright red, yellow, orange, green and blue all of which represent the color of spring. Many western cultures have adopted the concept of Holli, through events such as color run, leukemia with colors etc. Whatever the reason is being this is to nub mother nature into bringing spring with love and understanding.

Each full moon represents different feelings depending upon the zodiac sign it is in. It is an energized time as the full moon naturally brings new people into your life, meaning that you must also let go of people who no longer fit. The energy and difficulties in doing this usually take place during the waxing stage which occurs 5-7 days before the full moon. The full moon does not necessarily affect the sign it is in, rather the opposite signs. But to know the depths of how the moon personally affects you, I would suggest you contact my recommended astrologer Leslie Hale or XtrologyofHollywood.

Many western scientists have failed to prove that violence, crashes, chaos and floods of patients in hospitals often happen during the full moon. In the eastern philosophy, Tibetan, Hinduism, and Buddhism believe that the full moon is auspicious. This is when the mind is the most clear and thus it is an ideal time to do prayers, meditate, and be thankful.

The full moon energizes more clarity in areas of spiritually, and the psyche. And moon in Virgo represents hard work, details and comfort; making this moon practical, critical, analytical, nurturing.

It is a period of individual nirvana, but also a time to pursuit for the deeper meaning in what you’ve shaped. How can you assimilate your idea into the world for the greater good of all? The Full Moon urges you to distinguish and honor the significance of the “other” – other people, other ideas, and other values.

Relationships are of great importance at this time, and you feel a need to share, to merge, and to your other half, whether passionately or through other channels. You are called upon now to work toward accomplishing stability – set the scales of your internal environment and outer persona, balance your necessity to take with your capability to provide, and integrate your final principles with what is possible in the world.

The influence of this FULL MOON can be especially difficult or challenging for those who were born under a FULL MOON PHASE, as well as for those of the mutable signs. Additionally, for those whose birth Moon is in Pisces, this Full Moon can sometimes represent a critical time for potential accidents, injuries, carelessness and the undertaking of rash decisions or judgments.

The Moon in Virgo brings a time of realism, exploration, and effectiveness. People may feel more diligent and detail-oriented. As a result, this is a good time to complete tasks; predominantly minor scale projects that require organization and attention to detail.

While the Moon is in Virgo, it also a good time for academic pursuits, but not it is better for those demanding precarious specifics rather than advanced inspiration. This is a good time for taking care of any matter that requires careful attention. People may become reluctant and salvaging with Moon passing through Virgo and will tend to be sharp, demanding, and even overly serious at times.

To calm these effects and be more productive with its energy, you may choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle (which will be the solar eclipse).

The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but are a powerful source of energy. The mantra for Virgo moon is:

“Om Eim Saraswatiyei Swaha”

(Om I’M Sah-Rah-Swah-Tee-Yei Swah- Ha)

This mantra invokes energy for making any project fruitful and successful.
The intention of this mantra is to keep us in balance and from losing our temper through darkness and unfocused energy.

Please take it easy this moon and remember in a matter of two weeks the solar eclipse will impact all humanity as it stands. Everyone will be affected by it as it is in Pisces and Pisces is God’s astrological sign in both Vedic and western. And since we are assumed to be God’s children everyone has Pisces somewhere in their chart.

Rise! Super Black moon : February 2015

Black Moon

New Moon in Aquarius

February 18, 2015

By Maharani Rutan©

I pondered if I should even write this blog for the 2nd new moon in Aquarius this year (which is quite unusual). Not only was I a bit lethargic, but I felt that the information may be redundant and not be meaningful. I procrastinated for long time until I received an email from India.

The email had a pdf of 2015 “Panchang”. Panchang not only covers astrological and celestial phenomena it also lists the full moon and new moon date and time including the eclipse and the forecast. In comparison, Panchang is a lot like the Farmer’s Almanac but much more intense. The predictions are mathematically based on two scripter theory. Panchangam or Panchang is very detail oriented and highly accurate. Though almost every Panchang is written in Sanskrit or Hindi, I like the Sanskrit version (much more romantic language). As I was skimming through it page after page. I noticed something that I have never noticed before. Next to the February 18, 2015 moon a name of the moon was given along with the date, time and its expectation, and the importance of this beautiful lunar transit.

This is very unusual and perhaps I could have overlooked it all these years but the New Moon in Aquarius on February 18, 2015 is also known as “Black Moon”. This happens when there are two new moons within 30/31 days. The first new moon was on January 20, 2015 which was our first Supermoon; the second is on February 18, 2015. Contrast this to when there are two full moons in a calendar month is called a “Blue Moon.”

The phenomena of the Black moon will not be seen to the human eye and perhaps the sky will seem a little darker than normal. Supermoon is naturally called that name because the moon is the closest to the Earth. The next Supermoon will not be until March 19, 2015 (GMT). Perhaps it’s no big deal but if you want to know when the last Black moon was, last year, March 30, 2014 would have been the closest.

On January 20, 2015, the new moon in Aquarius entered our solar system at early degrees of Aquarius which trigger the beginning of important events for all Aquarius people. It also brought us the self-confidence needed to be bold, confidence, and suspicions. Being unstable and even spiteful was the energy it resonated. And it also impacted early born Aquarius’ (January 20-29). This new moon is impacting people at the very last degrees of Aquarius (February 9-18).

The moon will slowly bring darkness in the sky around 6:47pm EST and 3:47pm PST. The last time the new moon was in the later degrees of Aquarius was on February 17, 2007. The new moon in Aquarius has never been this close to this degree before (at least not in my time). The next time it will be in later degrees will be 2018.

It doesn’t matter if the new moon, or even a full moon, is in later degrees of any signs. It is always about natural good byes. During this time relationships could end; maybe there will be a move so that the relationship cannot stay together. Whatever the case it may be it is about natural endings and new beginnings. Overall it will be an eye-opener for sure. This is such a powerful new moon that it is also called a Karmic, or Karmic degree moon. There are/will be lessons to learn during the new moon and now they cannot be ignored.

The new moon usually signals the opportunity to begin new and find the energy and courage to take a chance. However, this moon is going to be a little emotional. The moon is the first degree of Pisces and late degrees of Aquarius. Pisces is ruled by Neptune and Aquarius, and often ruled by Uranus as well. So imagine for a moment that our lives will be like high tides. Pisces is the water and Aquarius is the one which pushes the air forwards. But on the other hand there are four planets that are going to form a square.

Many of you may not remember, or perhaps you will, that since the summer of 2012, life has been challenging. This is because two of the planets, Uranus (God of Confusion) and Pluto (Death and transformation), form a square. We may have been challenging our desires and things were a little out of whack. Ever since the summer of 2012 we have adjusted, improvised, collaborated and appeased people, places and things. The planets squaring usually cause difficulties in focusing on the here and now, and even more so on the future.

Aquarius is about group dynamics and bringing harmony. You need friends and new allies to make your world unique and inspiriting. The energy is just right to meditate, bring together societies, and have an egalitarian attitude. Thinking processes may be geared towards material things rather than people.

When the Moon is in Aquarius it is time to recharge your batteries and press the reset button in your life. Negative thinking and having people control you will no longer be tolerated. Appreciating those around you, especially groups of people, who have similar backgrounds of spirituality and work will be your biggest virtue. Living in a box is no longer possible for many of you. Freedom, vision, revolution, revolt, and change will be the theme of this new moon.

Aquarius people, and those that have any Aquarius in their charts, will be focused on completing those projects which they began, especially those that were created with passion. These projects will be delivered with great enthusiasm and their creative skills will be heightened. The incentive will be blessed by Neptune which governs art, music, and all cultural and creative arts.

On the other hand, Saturn, which is also involved in the square, is going to make a difficult aspect to this new moon. Saturn, a God of karmic lessons, will create restrictions. However, as Aquarius rules groups, organizations, and friends in an Astrological Chart 11th house also aspects the same. Therefore anyone that has Aquarius in their 11th house will have the most difficult task. The Neptune/Saturn Square will surely make people look through rosy colored glasses. Remember that if you can’t touch it or see it, it is mostly not true, especially false promises.

Remember that this is not a time to make long term or definite decisions regarding relationships, legal issues, communications, and other areas which are triggered by mercury. According to Vedic scriptures, Panchang Mercury is still retrograding and it is in its ghost period until the 27th. Therefore nothing will really stick and you might change your mind. (Read about it here)

But do not worry in areas of relationships if you have stood firm on the 18th and made no decisions, letting your life move along through the planets. Then you will be gifted, especially those that have Aquarius in their chart or are Aquarius particularly later degrees.

One of the most beautiful aspects that will bless many of us, especially Aquarius and Aries, is when Venus and Mars come together. This will give many of you an incentive to spend time with the ones you love, perhaps taking a trip to sunny countries or cities; Aries love places where it is warm. On the other hand, if you are single, make sure you look fantastic everywhere you go during that weekend and make sure you wear red. For ladies, a red dress will drive men crazy and for men, a red tie with a blue jacket will surely turn those single ladies heads and have them melting.

With all that fun don’t get too comfortable. For those that have Sagittarius anywhere in their charts, or are a Sagittarius, I am sure you have been feeling quite bold as you may be doing things that you naturally don’t do. Or you may even stand up for yourself for the first time in a long time. This is a natural energy of Saturn in Sagittarius (read about it here). Saturn enters everyone’s sign every 28/30 years and during that time it is the most difficult time they could have. The last time Saturn was in Sagittarius was in 1988. Do you know where you were or what you were doing? However, it does not really matter except that whatever you did, could have done, or would do would have an impact on how well you can present it today.

Even though this is not really a romantic moon it is rather a moon full of lessons and knowledge. One thing that can be said, it is a provoking moon where the theme seems to be to use physical and psychological capacity to build a future. It is time to restructure your relationships, all of them; if they do not satisfy your needs, are not fun, or fill you with a vision and promise of tomorrow, then it is time to let go.

No matter if the aspects of the new moon are bad, good, an omen, or unique, they will certainly be an eye opener, preparing us for the solar eclipse in Pisces. Following it with the 4 eclipse in Aries since 2012, change is definitely on its way.

Aries should enjoy everything that happens on the weekend of February 21-23, while Sagittarius will feel the push and pull and feeling of running away. For Pisces and mutable signs (Pisces, Virgo, Gemini and Sagittarius) it will be time to wake up. Cardinal signs (Cancer, Capricorn, Aries and Libra), you too may be following the steps with Aries where your love life will either be full of passion and wonderful awakenings or perhaps your expectations are way too high with respect to where it may end. Hence that Fixed signs will have very little do with what is happening until the eclipses, unless they have Aquarius somewhere in the chart.

I would highly encourage you to follow the same methods of mantras and white magic candle work as you did on the January 20, 2015 moon. The only difference with this aspect is that it is covering all Aquarius’ now.

The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but are a powerful source of energy. The mantra for Aquarius moon is:

“Om sri Shanaishwaraya Namaha”
(Om shri shan-ish-waraya nahm ah ha)

This mantra produces the quality of friendship within oneself including others. Its intention is to smooth your path in life by helping you understand the lessons you have set for yourself and through karma, the negativity will be surpassed.
Take the next week and slow yourself down until the 27th. It is advisable not to make any relationship decisions. After the 27th sign all the contracts you want, say what you want to say, and make sure you mean it because flip flopping what you mean will have a negative impact on what is to happen during the eclipse March 20, 2015.

Wishing you wonderful beginnings and spiritual endings, light the sky with your ideas, no matter how egocentric they are, because they will be appreciated.

Bring warmth to the winter: Snow moon in Leo

fmleo2015Full Moon in Leo

February 3, 2015

By Maharani Rutan©

Darkness has blanketed most of the country with frigid winter. The sky has been dark and gloomy. Therefore, the full moon in Leo/Aquarius axis on February 03, 2015, will be a welcomed change. The moon will be at its brightest point at 6:35pm EST and with it comes love of family and groups.

Leo often signifies family, fun, passion, creativity, self-expression, and inspiration. But, Sun in Aquarius will signify personality traits of being outgoing, charming, and naturally friendly. However, on the other side, the misunderstanding occurs between who you are and what you want to be, or rather, who you should be.

The closest to this energy we have been was on February 2, 2007 when there was a full moon in Leo at 13 degrees. Both Leo’s and Aquarius’ love to be the center of attention often leading to drama and impulsive behavior, to the point chaos. The 3 “D’s” can be applied to this kind of energy – Dedication, Devotion, and Disaster. Their dedication and devotion to their family and friends is completely loyal however it can be a disaster when things are blown out of proportion.

We can now relate to the name that Native Americans gave to the first full moon of February. “Snow Moon” is a perfect name to match what has been going on. The weather patterns that have hit the east coast and the jolt of snow and blizzard like conditions that have closed down businesses and caused problems on the roads. Recovery is going to be a long drawn out process.

But what is so unique about February is that there is another new moon in Aquarius. Perhaps it may be a good thing since we cannot begin anything during mercury retrograde. Mercury remains in Aquarius/Pisces until February 27, 2015. (Read more here) Expect people from the past to reconnect, communication glitches, and misinterpretations. As mercury moves into Pisces, there will be confusion in areas of spirituality which could also cause complications and questioning belief or reasoning, read more about it here.

Like everything that changes during a period, humanity also evolves. The full moon forces this progression by forming an orbital pull between the moon, Earth, and the Sun. As the moon swings behind the Earth it appears to have a brightness cycle which is considered a “Waxing” stage. As the moon moves further behind the Earth the Sun’s glow will radiate the reflectiveness of the moon making it look like a large white spot in the sky. This gravitational pull affects the weather patterns which can result in high tides (great for surfing); hence humans and animals will also feel this pull, which can cause cantankerousness and high emotions. The full moon explains many activities that have been a trigger to events from human psychosis to romance. This is not a negative dissolution, rather a positive.

There is a good possibility that many of us may not even feel the pressure of the full moon, rest assured, those that have a lot of water in their chart always feel it more so than others (depending on how powerful the Moon is in your Astrological chart), but there is no uncertainty that this energy creates an inner pull and fullness. The energy is so powerful that shimmering dreams can be expected.

Hemorrhaging is more likely during a full moon, so take care. This is the time to collect, reflect and be appreciative, and to work on success and triumph. Love and passion go wild under a full moon, particularly around midnight. In a full moon you may become extremely disconnected, clear minded and aware of your own needs as well as the needs of others.

Often full moons are related to episodes in a book; the idea of constructing innovative parts in our own lives. For each full moon we form a thesis which means we design a modification, reasonably knowing to some degree that something has to go because things are not functioning the way it used to. Whether it is the way we look at situations or dealing with difficulties in our own lives, the renovation is a must. As the moon begins to travel from light to darkness and creates the transformation to a New moon we create antithesis.

The influential energy of the new moon will give us the comprehensibility of a need to find out if our thesis (consciousness or alteration) is probable or if it is rejecting a change which causes a response and we begin to plant the seeds. As the moon orbits to support itself into a waxing moon we are succeeding in solving struggles between thesis (planning or a modification) and antithesis (what we need to prepare to make it materialize or what won’t work). This synthesis will allow the legitimacy to form new ideas while solving issues that do not work in our lives. In easier terms, we could end a chapter in our lives or even began a new one.

The Moon in Leo marks a period of fortitude and charisma. Ruled by the Sun, Leo creates an inspiration of warmth, goal, and predisposition. People may feel inspired, distinguished, and bountiful. It is a good time to chase desires, be accommodating, and to support others. Like the Lion that symbolizes Leo, people may feel self-assured and a need to be noticed. Care needs to be taken to evade melodramatic displays in order to grab the limelight or control. There is a demonstrative need to shine and be commended by others.

Words of feelings may be stated in a naive way – either lightheartedly or dramatically. There is an expected propensity to be around youngsters. Fostering others by giving approval and stimulating them to be strong, courageous, and brave is the key of Leo’s forte. There is also a yearning to view a mother, or motherly figure, to be magnificent, exceptional or as a respected person, and look for autonomy, warmth and power in that connection.

The Leo vitality can occasionally cause us to be more biased, stubborn, privileged, irritated, egotistical, vain, and condescending. It’s more difficult (but not impossible) to make modifications or be flexible, since the Moon is the closest ‘Planet’ to Earth, and this satellite literally zips around the Zodiac, completing its circuit in less than a month.

It also touches us more profoundly than most Planets. The influence of this FULL MOON can be especially problematic or perplexing for those who were born under a FULL MOON PHASE, as well as for those of the fixed Sun Signs [Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius and Taurus]. Also affected are those that share any planets in Leo in their Western, Eastern, or progressive astrological chart

The moon in Leo is Spirited, Fearless, Powerful, Proficient, Systematized, AND UNPREDICTABLE. It is my suggestion that you purchase a Green candle and carve your name through to the wick. Anoint the candle with lemon oil or Lavender oil and chant the Psalm 65. You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle.

While applying or reciting psalms or mantras if it is not good for all people then is will not be sufficient and will be counterproductive. Remember that you can’t force anyone to do anything, nor can you alter the past or present.

All you are able to do is ask for Divine guidance to bless the future, while seizing the day.

The mantras can be difficult to enunciate but are an influential source of energy. The mantra for Leo moon is:

“Om Shri Suryaya namaha”

(Om Shree sur-ya-ya nam-aha)

This mantra resolves and supports serene and pleasant shifts to a fresh and optimistic energy state.

For every lunar cycle, it is recommended that affirmations which have had the slightest change be crossed off and recreate more specific blessings. The perfect number for aspirations is 10. This means to list 10 aspirations and recite them every night until the next moon cycle. Remember, never make the affirmations begin with “I want”, they must be worded “I need to be guided…”

Please note, I am not an Astrologer nor claim to be one. The Vedic readings integrate the energies of moon and sun to assist the adviser to articulate a deeper understanding of everyday changes to plant the seeds of the future. This type of reading is an aide for the client to consider dilemmas, decisions, and actions of the present to change the outcome of the future.

If you are need of a calculative prediction based on science and intuitive definitions of dilemmas or looking to discover cause and effect, I would suggest you make an appointment with my recommended astrologers and see what journey is up ahead for you. I am just your guide, showing you how your actions and decisions may cause struggles and to alleviate the circumstances before they get worse.

I hope that this full moon bring peace, love, and tranquility within your home. Remember, we have a new moon again in Aquarius. In January it affected all early and cusp Aquarius’, now it focuses on later degrees of Aquarius.
