Full Moon in Taurus
November 06, 2014
We have been twisted, turned, probed, broken, and healed. We have cried, smiled, laughed and surprised by all the changes with the eclipses, retrograde, remarkable moons, and lunar energies. Thus, the Full moon in Taurus should be no surprise and there will be a jolt of frigid energy.
Things ended for many during the lunar eclipse (read about it here) and new seeds were planted during the solar eclipse (read about it here). Whatever the case may have been, change is overwhelming. Thus, the Taurus moon provides us with the energy to look at everything with a microscope.
The Taurus full moon will light the sky with its grace at 14 degrees Taurus (depending upon the orb) at approximately, 5:23 pm EST, 2:23 PST on November 6, 2014. The last time the moon came close to this degree was on November 05, 2006 when it was 13 degrees in Taurus and November 10, 2011 at 18 degrees (read about it here); both were full moons.
Even though many will say that mercury is direct, according to Vedic, Mercury retrograde is like a train taking almost 2 weeks to go backwards 2 weeks to station and 2 weeks to move forwards. Therefore we should be all clear to make decisions, travel and wrap up relationship issues by November 10, 2014 (read about it here).
Depending upon which hemisphere you live in, the full moon in November is called the Beaver moon; this is the time when the Beaver prepares to go under for the winter. In Chinese it is also known as the white moon. But if you are in the northern hemisphere it is also known as the Hunters moon, as the hunters gather the meat needed to survive through the winter months. Meanwhile, the southern hemisphere prepares their corn and calls it the Corn moon. No matter what name you want to give it, full moons are always a beautiful site to see.
Everything becomes brighter under the grace of the Full Moon – lust and self-assurance can become quite inflated, and we may have more consciousness and attention on relationships. There may be a feeling of influential liveliness by the light of the Moon opening the possibility for more luminous dreams.
Hemorrhages are more likely during a Full Moon, so take care. This is the time to gather, pray and be Grateful, and to work on practicality and accomplishment. Love and romance go wild under a Full Moon, particularly around midnight. In a full moon people often can become extremely disengaged, clear minded and aware of their own desires while wondering how to fulfill others wishes.
Venus is comfortably sitting in Scorpio until November 18, 2014. There is a need to have deep and passionate relationships with people. There is a greater chance that flirting no longer will appease many of us. We acquire a deep intimate attachment through every connection of our body, mind, and soul. Scorpio is a deep sign and it is easily able to cut off relationships if it does not seem right. Anything superficial won’t do – it has to be passionate and deep.
This moon is quite unique in many ways. We are forced to postpone our own pleasure to allow our passion to evolve through fostering and kindness to others. This personal evolution has radiated a lot of agony and disadvantages which, in fact, has allowed us to share our learned familiarities with others – this also helps us to understand ourselves.
Under this full moon we are mindful of our philosophies and dominance to create our own world. It is a orchard of our lives; while the Scorpio New Moon and eclipse gave us the energy to plant seeds (read about it here) and end things during the lunar eclipse (read about it here) – now it is time to bring magic and cleaning to those seeds. The Scorpio/Taurus powers validate a pure relationship between the beginnings and their roots. In easier terms, it means that we are disposed to look at significances of Taurus and our enchanted of Scorpio. There unquestionably is disillusionment; however, there must be a complete emphasis and willpower in the areas that require transformation. Not just any transformation, but solid transformation.
Energy may be placed towards scholastic pursuits to solidify already well-informed education or skills. In addition, many will seek out the company of friends to fill emotive voids. There may be susceptibilities to encourage people and purely compliant, infrequent behavior because after all, people are people. This is simply due to the pot we stirred on October 08, with a lunar eclipse and total solar eclipse and the New moon in Scorpio October 23, 2014.
Scorpio is ruled by Pluto (the underworld star) which guarded an upheaval and causes us to reconfigure ourselves. Taurus represents things that are diffident and the roots that bind us to the physical world through our own needs and pleasure through pragmatism. This energy is quite unique because it calms the energy down as it is ruled by Venus. This full moon will give the energy to calm down and relax. The Taurus energy will give rise to the Phoenix out of the ashes.
The full moon is usually very auspicious in the Eastern Culture. It is enjoyed by doing Pooja and it is considered Poonam to pray to ease any difficulties. The moon is all about emotions and personality with the sun usually representing where the soul is positioned at the time of birth. In better terms, the moon represents our psyche and the sun represents our role in the game of life.
Usually during the full moon the gravitational pull causes pressures of water; therefore, I would not be surprised if snow comes early and water overflows in certain parts of the world. Most of all, mud slides would not be impossible either.
The moon in Taurus could give us the energy to communicate more than usual. But most of consistency is driven by stability and the comfort of that which often gives us a sense of security. Humanitarian efforts will create a great sense of completeness for many people and socialization is not out of the question.
Relationships could be very smooth at this time because consistency brings a natural expression of emotions through love and understanding. These are great positives during the full moon but be careful – the stubbornness can cause disagreements and possible break-ups. The focus of conflict can be around stubbornness and inability to stay consistent.
The Moon in Taurus pushes for a time of watchfulness and levelheadedness. People may feel more antiquated and determined. This is a good time to finish tasks that have delayed, as people may be more dependable and organized. Like the stubborn Bull, representative of Taurus, people may be bull-headed — undecided to compromise and be confrontational. Care needs to be taken to avoid self-indulgence and unpredictable anxieties or cravings for material wealth.
Since the moon in Taurus represents Tranquil, Real, Worldly, Lenient, and stubborn, we must use the practical senses. No matter what astrological signs you hold, if there is Taurus anywhere in your natal or progressed chart you will be directly impacted by this energy. The Moon transiting Taurus gives us a varied assortment of feelings. Moon in Taurus is motivated towards fulfillment, resolution, caution, and conservation.
This is a good time to take a vacation or to schedule a lazy day of relaxation and sensual enjoyment. It’s a time to get into your physical intelligences and to enjoy the physical world around you through your senses. It is also a good time for ecological or preservation efforts. The theme seems to be dependability and holding fast. This is not the time to clean out closets and drawers. You’ll want to keep everything and you may hoard.
You may choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle.
When it comes to finding satisfying relationships and success, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but it are a powerful source of energy. The mantra for Taurus moon is:
Om Sri shukraya Namaha
(om Shri Shu Kra Ya Nama Ha)
Remember the 12 aspirations. Don’t forget to cross the ones you have already accomplished and make new ones. Don’t forget as well to manifest matters concerning materialistic things at this time. And most of all, don’t forget to light a white candle that day; carve your name on the candle, anoint it with Frankincense oil, and chant Psalm 65 three times.
Please remember, I am not an astrologer nor do I claim to be. However, the Astrological conversion is an essential function compulsory to integrating the best results in Vedic Sanskrit readings. Vedic readings are based upon Indian sages who use the planetary stimuli to be more enlightening and aides to mankind through ethics and consideration of karmas. It is through Vedic Sanskrit readings that we can incorporate how our actions cause reactions to conflicts which can be easily be avoided through thoughtful and homogenizing our egos.
Enjoy this moon as if was the first moon of your life and know that people and places in your life that had to go, should have gone. No one will place undo pain that you cannot handle and every pain brings strength of liberation and awareness.
Wishing you and yours a warm, safe, and loving first full moon in Taurus.
