Full Moon in Leo
January 26, 2013
On January, 26, 2013, at 11:38ESTand 8:38pm PST the Full moon will enter Leo at 7 degrees depending upon the placement of the orb. Leo is the natural sign of the home. This is also a very inspirational aspect for fixed signs (Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio) with remarkable endings which leads the pathway to new beginning.
According to native Indian writings and karmic transitions, the first full moon in January is known as the “Cold moon or the Wolf moon” due to cold weather. Additionally, perfect weather for wolves to come out play in the forest and hunt.
January will definitely bring a quite roller coaster rides for many. On the day before the full moon Mercury will square Saturn. This means not only communication may be at its high Saturn in Scorpio will may force many to listen and learn from past mistakes additionally for many Jupiter has been retrograde and will move forwards or at least start to move forwards on January 30, 2013. So if money was a little tight or feelings of debt and bills were overwhelming since October this is for many Jupiter has been retrograde in motion. Therefore, along with crazy communication and difficult lessons … Jupiter will come and kiss it and make all better.
Like everything that transmutes monthly and throughout the seasons as does the moon, the full moon’s substance is created when the gravitational orbit pulls the moon around the Earth and the sun. As the moon shifts behind the Earth the moon appears to have radiance cycle which is considered a “Waxing” stage. As the moon moves further behind the Earth the Sun’s luminosity will illuminate the visibility of the moon making it look like a large white spot in the sky. This gravitational pull affects the weather patterns which can result in high tides (great for surfing); hence Earthlings and animals will also feel this pull, which can cause touchiness and high emotions. The full moon explains many activities that have been a trigger to events from human obsession to romance. This is not a negative revocation rather a positive the main reasoning is that light has brought a day is dawning which allows carefree and spirited tendencies where nothing matters but the self-expression.
Perhaps there will be no notice of these effects (depending on how powerful the Moon is in your Astrological chart), but there is no doubt that this energy creates an inner pull, fullness – and may help us to connect substantially with others. Everything becomes richer and more powerful under the light of the Full Moon – sentiments and individuality can become quite exaggerated, and there may even be more focus to bring peace and romance in areas of relationships. The energy is so intense that luminous dreams are predictable. Bleeding and hemorrhaging are more likely during a Full Moon, so take care. This is the time to gather, meditate and be Appreciative, and to work on productivity and accomplishment. Love and Romance go wild under a Full Moon, especially around midnight. In a full moon naturally attracts high objectivity, clear minded and awareness own needs and the needs of others.
Often full moons are compared to chapters in a book; the notion of creating new chapters in our own lives is like a chapter in a book. Every full moon we create a thesis which means we plan a change logically that we need to modify because of circumstances which are no longer working. Whether it is the way we look at a situation or deal with problems in our own lives the transformation is imitate because old ways are not working. As the moon begins to move from light to darkness and creates a metamorphism to a New moon we create antithesis. The powerful energy of the new moon (which was couple of weeks ago) gave initiation of clarity in what needs to change, our thesis (idea or a change) is it possible or is it a negation which causes a reaction, and we begin to plant the seeds. As the moon orbits to cultivate it self into waxing moon we are reaching to solve struggles between thesis (ideas or a change) and antithesis (what we need to do to make it happen or what wont work) and this synthesis will allow the truth to form new idea while resolving issues that do not work in our lives. In easier terms we could end a chapter in our lives or even began a new one. But changes will be the climax.
The Moon in Leo marks a time of ambition and magnetism. Ruled by the Sun, Leo creates a power of warmth, desire, and inclination. People may feel motivated, illustrious, and generous. It is a good time to chase romance, be societal, and to help others. Like the Lion that symbolizes Leo, people may feel poised but also crave for support and reaction. Care needs to be taken to avoid theatrical displays to grab the spotlight or leadership positions. There is an emotional need to sparkle and be praised by others. Expression of feelings may be in a childlike manner – either playfully or spectacularly. There is a natural tendency to be around children. Nurturing others by giving praise and encouraging them to be strong, bold and fearless is the key of Leo’s strength. There is also a desire to view a mother or a motherly figure to be grandiose, spectacular or admired person, and look for individuality, warmth and strength in that relationship
The Leo energy can sometimes cause us to be more biased, tenacious, gratified, irritated, arrogant, narcissistic, and patronizing. It’s harder (but not impossible) to make changes or be flexible, Since the Moon is the closest ‘Planet’ to Earth, and this satellite literally zips around the Zodiac, completing its circuit in less than a month. It also touches us more deeply than most Planets. The influence of this FULL MOON can be especially difficult or challenging for those who were born under a FULL MOON PHASE, as well as for those of the fixed Sun Signs [Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius and Taurus].
Since, moon in Leo is Lively, Brave, Histrionic, Administrative, and Systematized AND TEMPERAMENTAL. It is my suggestion that you purchase a Green candle and carve your name one through the wick. Anoint the candle with lemon oil or Lavender oil and chant the psalm 65. You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is depended upon the quality of intention, and when it comes to finding satisfying relationships, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but it is a powerful source of energy the mantra for Leo moon is:
“Om Sri suryaya namaha”
(Om Shree sur-ya-ya nam-aha)
This mantra will aid greatly in the peaceful and sweet transition to a new and positive energy states.
With every moon cycle, remember to cross out the old affirmation even if there is a slightest change and create new ones. The perfect number for aspiration is 10. This means to list 10 aspirations and recite them every night until the next moon cycle. Remember never make the affirmations beginning with “I want”, it must be worded “I need to be guided..”
