Raspberry Moon: Full Moon in Pisces

Full Moon In Pisces

August 31, 2012

By Maharani Rutan©

Full moon will enter Pisces on August 31, 2012 at 9:58am EST and 6:58am PST (plus or minus 6 degree orb).   This full moon will affect everyone that has a Pisces Sun as well as those who have Pisces in their chart. To find out how deeply you are affected, I would suggest that you contact my recommended Astrologer Leslie Hale or any of my preferred astrologers here.

The folklore also called this moon the Raspberry moon, or the most popular is the Sturgeon Moon, because Native Americans claimed that during the full moon, in August, Sturgeons were the easiest to catch.

When the moon is full, the gravitational pull between the moon on one side of the earth and the Sun on the other has a great affect on our own bodily water levels, as well as the earth’s. You may or may not notice the effect (depending on how powerful the moon is in your Astrological chart), but there is no doubt that this energy creates an inner pull, fullness – and may help us to connect psychically with others. Everything becomes clearer and more intense under the light of the Full Moon – emotions and egos can become quite extravagant, and we may have more consciousness and emphasis on relationships. Due to the energy of the moon light, it would not surprise me that during the first couple of days prior to the moon being full, as well as the few days before whining, more people will have more luminous dreams.  Bleeding and hemorrhaging are more likely during a Full Moon, so take care.

Having the sun in Virgo and the moon in Pisces it can be an auspicious time to restore and renovate since Virgo focuses around the physical world and Pisces focuses on the spiritual world- it is about the physical world as well as the psychological being. It is time to accept limitation of the self and others around you.  It is time to pray.  Be with the earth and understand how powerful mantras and prayers can be. This can be a very purgative moon.

This is the time to Harvest, Pray, be Thankful, and to work on abundance and prosperity.  Love and Romance go wild under a Full Moon, especially around midnight.

In a full moon the mind becomes highly objective, being aware of your own needs and the needs of others. UNDER THIS FULL MOON, ENERGIES ARE GEARED TO THE MENTAL REALM. Traditionally, the early Europeans knew this FULL MOON as the WORT MOON. Plants and herbs were harvested and dried as the richness of the first harvest was realized.

The Moon in Pisces ushers in a time of attentiveness and pragmatism. A greater possibility to become even more connected to people than ever before to comfort and heal – Giving all of yourself for the sake of those around you. Confusion is natural – and the need to spend time alone to meditate and heal is highly recommended.

Care needs to be taken to avoid indulgence and unnecessary concern or desire for material belongings. Since moon in Pisces represents Sensitive, Imaginative, Psychic, Empathetic, and Creativity in everyone, we must use the practical senses.

You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is depended upon the quality of intention, and when it comes to finding a satisfying relationships and success, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but it is a powerful source of energy the mantra for Pisces moon is:

Om Sri Gurave Namaha

(om Shri gur ava Nama Ha)

Remember the 12 aspirations.  Don’t forget to cross the ones you have already accomplished and make new ones. Don’t forget to manifest matters concerning materialistic things at this time.  And most of all don’t forget to light a white candle that day carve your name on the candle anoint the candle with Frankincense oil and chant Psalm 65 three times.

I am not an astrologer rather a Vedic reader who incorporates the energy of both Vedic and Western astrology as a basis to Vedic philosophy.  Vedic reader embraces the hindrances to assist in changing the negative destiny and karma to bring into many positive pathways into self-concept as well as self-actualization so that journey can be as sublime as the path that it takes.

This full moon is going to affect almost everyone and it should embraced as a change that is an absolute necessity to recognize that something has to go or leave and our psyche will help us with this pathway.

May you have the most incandescent full moon with the greatest gift of connection within the spiritual world.

Sentimental New Moon: August 17, 2012

New Moon in Leo

August 17, 2012

By Maharani Rutan©

On August 17, 2012, a magnificent New Moon in Leo will enter our atmosphere at 11:54 am EST, 8:54 PST plus or minus 6 degrees depending upon the orb.  The beautiful moon positions itself in the house of family and courage.

During this this New Moon, please remember that Mercury is in its stationing period until August 21, 2012, therefore, it’s time to think over things before making any kind of final decision when it relates to family and work.

The New Moon signals a time of development. There is an impulse to take action and begin something new, be it a small change in the way a life is viewed or simple changes which will facilitate smoother transitions.  The energy is right for making impulsive passages and following your dispositions. This is the time to act from the soul and trust the process – take a risk, live in the moment.

The New Moon blesses new phase and invites chances. What do you want to manifest? Emotional reactions are tranquil and secure, and a possibility to stay away from confrontation. However, if you feel very strongly about something, there could be stubbornness – never backing down. There is a need for a serene environment. Melodious voice and musical talent is a great outlet. Nurturing others by providing for their needs is a top of the agenda. An essential relationship with a mother or guardian would be peaceful, calm and secure.

The Moon in Leo marks a time of determination and charisma. Ruled by the Sun, Leo creates an influence of friendliness, eagerness, and delight. People may feel creative, distinguished, and generous. It is a good time to pursue romance, be social, and to help others. Like the Lion that symbolizes Leo, people may feel confident but also crave gratitude and acknowledgment. Care needs to be taken to avoid melodramatic displays to grab the spotlight or leadership positions.

Moon in Leo has an expressive need to shine and be praised by others. Expressing feelings in a childlike manner – either playfully or dramatically is prevalent during this period. A natural affinity with children is of a greater importance. A knack for organizing and leading could also be emanating. Nurturing others by giving praise and encouraging them to be strong, bold and fearless could also be a focus. A motherly figure may be viewed as a regal, dramatic or prestigious person, and look for independence, warmth and strength in that relationship

The Leo energy can sometimes cause us to be more chauvinistic, tenacious, gratified, annoyed, arrogant, narcissistic, patronizing.  It’s harder (but not impossible) to make changes or be flexible, Since the Moon is the closest ‘Planet’ to Earth, and this satellite literally zips around the Zodiac, completing its circuit in less than a month. It also touches us more deeply than most Planets.

Since, moon in Leo is Spirited, Brave, Theatrical, Administrative, Organized AND MOODY, it is my suggestion that you purchase a Green candle and carve your name one through the wick.  Anoint the candle with lemon oil or Lavender oil and chant the psalm 65.  You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is depended upon the quality of intention, and when it comes to finding satisfying relationships, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but it is a powerful source of energy the mantra for Leo moon is:

“Om Sri suryaya namaha”

(Om Shree sur-ya-ya nam-aha)

This mantra will aid greatly in the peaceful and harmonious transition to a new and positive energy states.

Please remember I am not an astrologer however, Vedic readings does use astrological tendencies too give the best outcome for sublimed changes.

With every moon cycle, remember to cross out the old affirmation even if there is a slightest change and create new ones. The perfect number for aspiration is 10.  This means to list 10 aspirations and recite them every night until the next moon cycle.  Remember never make the affirmations beginning with “I want”, it must be worded “I need to be guided.”

This moon is especially important to me.  On this day 19 years ago a beautiful baby boy was a gift to me and entered my life with spunk, energy and innocence.  His praise, support and outstanding view of life brought hope where there was emptiness.  Within two days he will leave my nest and fly off into his own world of academia and bring a new family into his world.  His vision of his own “calling” will not only change his life but the life of many—this I am certain of.  So today is not only the new moon but it’s a beginning of a new journey to one of the most important people in my life.

I wish you and yours the most beautiful new moon and always be blessed..

Thank you once again
