Full Moon in Scorpio
May 05, 2012
By Maharani Rutan
Abstracts by Leslie Hale & Lee Stillwaters
On May 05, 2012, at approximately 11:35pm EST and 8:35pm PST we will have the most magnificent sight in the sky. The skies will shine with the super moon in Scorpio at 16 degrees plus or minus 6 depending upon the orb.
Super moon happens when the moon is almost at 90 degrees from the earth, though no one can really know what it feels like to have a moon so bright and close to the earth. Some say the worlds disasters happen during the super moon. Some blame the super moon for the sinking of the Titanic and some say the last time was January 15, 1930 with the minor disturbance of earthquakes.
“May’s full moon occurs on May 5, at 11:35 PM EST, at 16 degrees of Scorpio, and it is considered a ‘Supermoon.’. A supermoon is when a full moon makes its closest approach to the earth on it’s elliptical orbit leading to the term coined by Astrologer Richard Nolle 30 years ago. Some astrologers believe supermoons may be associated with increased risks of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.”Leslie Hale
Some scientists predict the shape of the moon like this was on March 19, 2011 and it would repeat again on May 06, 2012. This means it could be determined that gravitational pull could cause a surge of water which caused the March 11 tsunamis in Japan? According to astrologers, and scientist there are a total of 4 super moons in 2012, which are April 06, 2012, May 06, 2012, June 04, 2012, November 14, 2012 and December 13, 2012. Which means two of these moons happen during a major eclipse period June 04 and November 14. So does this mean that we will have natural disasters 4 times a year when dealing with water or tides? Personally, I say not. Sometimes in life everything does not revolve around logic. Rather a wakeup call from the higher power to appreciate what we have rather than take an advantage of it especially when it comes to the Planet Earth.
However, in the eyes of Vedic readings, this moon will be very significant to Scorpios. Trust me when I say anything goes. Having 4 planets in Scorpio and the sun, the moon, and Neptune is crazy enough. But fearing just adds to the negativity, keeping in mind this moon is about rebirth, regeneration and integration.
“This spring’s Wesak Full Moon in Scorpio is a “Super Moon” in close perigee to the Earth. Emotional tides are on the rise, and relationship completions pave the way for new beginnings following the Solar Eclipse in Gemini on May 20th. It’s best to know what we value before wading into the water, as powerful lunar currents stir human emotions and natural phenomena this month” Lee Stillwaters
Pluto rules Scorpios which dominates areas of darkness and light. It is a flare between good and evil. Scorpios drive on intensity, passion and mystery. Therefore, if any one has the sun or the moon in Scorpio this event will be even more intense than any other. Ask yourself how much you can burn or rather salvage. From ashes to ashes Phoenix will rise.
Keep in mind that just because a chart does not have a sun in Scorpio does not mean that this moon will not affect you. As a matter a fact, if there are any planets in Scorpio it will be ignited by this super moon. Do I have your attention now?
For Scorpios and ascendants of Scorpios, you may have misunderstandings with your partner, there is something concealed – it was not really hidden but it was chosen to be overlooked. Whatever you find out it should be of no surprise. But, if you are in a healthy relationship and married it could mean that you have the edge this month, communication with your partner will be warm and close. If you are not married, an engagement or a wedding is in the air for some of you. What ever it is, romance has no shortage.
“This moon works best for water and some earth signs. Scorpio is the most intense of signs, so nothing about this moon will be superficial. Scorpio is associated with sex and Mercury sextiles Venus giving this full moon potential for connecting with someone special or a positive time for your social life! Unfortunately, on the same day Mercury opposes Saturn. Oppositions mean the problem generally comes from another individual, so it is through interaction with others or communication with others you may feel limited. The transit is tiring, and will have a greater affect is it is hitting a personal planet in your chart at 23-24 degrees of Libra/Aries. The transit moves quickly, only a few hours in duration. My advice is to try and go with the positive!” Leslie Hale
When the Moon is full, the gravitational pull between the Moon on one side of the earth and the Sun on the other has a great affect on our own bodily water levels, as well as the earth’s. Many may not feel the effects (depending on how powerful the Moon is in your Astrological chart), but there is no doubt that this energy creates an inner pull, fullness – and may help us to connect psychologically with others.
Everything becomes clearer and more intense under the light of the Full Moon – emotions and egos can become quite inflated, and we may have more consciousness and focus on relationships. There is a burst of energy from the light of the moon and perhaps there may even be more vivid dreams that night. Bleeding and hemorrhaging are more likely during a Full Moon, so take care. This is the time to Harvest, Pray and be Thankful, and to work on fertility and prosperity.
Love and Romance go wild under a Full Moon, especially around midnight. In a full moon you may become highly objective, clear minded and aware of your own needs and the needs of others. Traditionally, the early Europeans knew that the full moon was a time for plants and herbs to be harvested and dried as the richness of the first harvest was realized.
In Native Lore, Full Moons are known as the moon of ripening sweet berries. As ripe berries were gathered and used for paints, dyes and as a source of Vitamin C. Health and creativity are emphasized and there is a sense of well-being and drama to this lunation.
The Moon in Scorpio marks a time of powerful passion and desires. People may be feeling more forward and more challenging, as well as being provoked and practical. In general, emotions at both ends of the spectrum are discriminating and likely to vary quite a bit throughout this influence. Connections on a deep level could be made with members of the opposite sex with the Moon in Scorpio.
Represented by the Scorpion, Scorpio possesses a secretive and penetrative nature. Feelings of jealousy and revenge may arise, so special caution is needed to avoid confrontations. The Scorpio Full Moon can be a catalyst for power urges, which can often result in violence or even homicidal impulses.
Mars is still in Virgo which is the practical side of masculine powers and Pluto shows very strong desires. People often can become hostile, critical, impatient and changeable while the Moon is in Scorpio. There is a marked increase of intensity and a highlighted sensitivity to personal offenses and insults.
Remember that Scorpio has a suspicious and secretive nature. Avoid social complications. Beware of jealousy and watch out for the Scorpio Sting. Please remember to forgive and forget. Be cautious interacting with the opposite sex. However, this could be a good time for intense assimilation with another on a deep emotional level!
Since the moon in Scorpio represents Headstrong, Willful, Hot-Tempered, Brave, and Energetic, it is my suggestion for us to remain balanced. This full moon is extraordinary to many signs. It is my suggestion that you purchase a white candle and carve your name through to the wick. Anoint the candle with lavender oil sandalwood and chant the psalm 39.
You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is depended upon the quality of intention, and when it comes to finding satisfying relationships, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but it is a powerful source of energy. The mantra for Scorpio moon is:
“Om Angarakaya Namaha”
(Om An-ga-ra-ka-ya Na-ma-ha)
This mantra is to call to the lord of peace and removal of any obstacles in your way.
The intention of this mantra is the to keep up in balance and from losing our temper through darkness and unfocused energy
With every moon cycle, remember to cross out the old affirmation even if there is a slightest change and create new ones. The perfect number for aspiration is 10. This means to list 10 aspirations and recite them every night until the next moon cycle. Remember never make the affirmations beginning with “I need”, it must be worded “I will need to be shown how to retain”
Please remember I am NOT an astrologer, rather, a Vedic reader which incorporates Astronomy, Astrology and Vedic tendencies to build the most accurate readings which lead the pathway to change and reliance.
It is my suggestion that prior to getting a reading from me, I would suggest you contact one of my recommend astrologers Leslie Hale or Lee Stillwaters and have them lead you to your conclusion and let me be your guide to avoid pitfalls.
This moon is just the stepping stone for the catalyst change of communication and rebirth. With Venus about to retrograde May 15 through June 27, 2012, this will be a time for breakup or restructuring intimate relationships. If you are in a strong relationship it will survive however, weak relationship may end under this influence. This month long period will give a wakeup call to see if the relationship needs to change and if so how. During this time also hold on to your money as Venus also rules money and other people’s money which means don’t purchase things that are not affordable. Lastly, don’t be surprised if an old lover or an ex decides to stop by for a visit. When Venus is retrograde it is also about repayment of past karmas so be very careful with your words. Since words are irreplaceable.
“May 15th: Venus stations retrograde in Gemini. The status of relationships can change with little or no notice as Venus shifts into reverse motion in the Mercurial sign of Gemini. Venus will remain retrograde in Gemini through June 27th presenting us with an opportunity to discuss and think through any relationship decisions before taking action.” – Lee Stillwaters
May comes with many punches, twists and turns; look for articles to help you through the roughness and guide you through spiritual awakenings. Especially for those who have fixed, and air signs in their charts. The Full moon focuses on great endings and New moons focus on new beginnings however, tied with the solar eclipse, it is more transformative than anything else. Especially during the eclipse on May 20, 2012, when we are forced to transform something that is not working. The effect will be felt by early born air signs.
“May 20th: Sun enters Gemini and New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Gemini. The annual Gemini cycle begins with a Solar Eclipse in the very first fraction of a degree in the sign of communications. Those with planets or house cusps in the first five degrees of the mutable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces will experience the greatest effects from today’s Eclipse” Lee Still waters
May this moon be as super as it seems and allow the transformation to take over through spirituality and understanding.

Flower Moon 2011: Full Moon Scorpio

Flower Moon
Full Moon in Scorpio
May 17, 2011
On May 17, 2011 we will have a full moon in Scorpio at 26 degrees, which is in the later degrees of Scorpio. The later degree in a sign usually symbolizes maturity in that zodiac path. This wonderful illumination will be vibrant at approximately 6:09am EST and 3:09 am PST (6 degree orb). Dance Scorpio!
The first new moon in May is also known as “Full Flower Moon”, for the reason by the time the first new moon in May hits the earth orbit, the flowers on earth is plentiful. But according to farmer’s almanac and other folklore writing it is also known as the Milk Moon.
“Chiron in Pisces helps us to reawaken our intuition during this Full Moon and create alchemy which will trigger us to lance old wounds and attain harmony within ourselves. By connecting with others on a soul level we will achieve spiritual growth and finding answers to our day to day issues that may have been holding us back. Venus in Taurus will rev up our relationships to a new level if we allow the baggage of the past to slip away during this powerful lunation.”~ Susan Selene
But this moon is also quite unique, in many ways it is the last full moon until the Solar eclipse of the sun in Gemini which is paired with eclipses which occurred on December 21, 2010. Read more about it here. Its time to examine your environment and emotions from the past while asking determining what happened and make magnificent endings and embracing new beginnings.
“May 21st: The Sun enters Gemini. The Sun’s ingress into communicative Gemini marks its first square to Neptune in Pisces and its first sextile to Uranus in Aries. So much has changed in the first five months of 2011, and three consecutive eclipses from June 1st through July 1st are likely to bring even more beginnings and endings in the weeks ahead. “ Lee Stillwaters
“June 1 we experience a solar eclipse at 11 degrees of Gemini at 5:03 PM EST. Gemini is the natural ruler of the third house of communication and the ruler of Gemini is Mercury the planet of communication. This is a time of critical communication that may change your direction. The Sun trines Saturn on this day creating an industrious energy that can be used to further practical considerations or connect with situations from the past. Eclipses are a powerful energy that can affect us for months, even years to come.” ~Leslie Hale
“Eclipses are about beginnings and endings, and if you are in a relationship that is tottering on the edge it may well end at this time. The eclipse falls on Uranus in the US chart portending sudden and unexpected events. Eclipse Author Celeste Teal calls this eclipse, “Something to Cry About””~ Leslie Hale
The full moon in Scorpios is a time for regeneration and rebirth like Phoenix rising from the ashes as will the Scorpios. Many things our lives are dying so it is time for regeneration. We are healing past the old and shedding old skin. This moon is about the Gods, Karma, Sun, the Moon and humans.
In the Buddhist tradition the full moon in Scorpio is known as “Wesak” a time of enlightenment. Scorpions are naturally emotional, intuitional and psychics. Their nature of picking up signals from people are so intoned that they become sponges to other peoples emotions. These emotions for non Scorpions can be quite dramatic which may cause many people to hide our selves or our feelings pretending everything is ok but it is not.
“The Taurus cycle is at its peak under a fertile Full Moon in Scorpio as transiting Mercury, Venus, and Mars in Taurus form a harmonious trine to Pluto in Capricorn. Those with an emphasis in the early degrees of earth and water signs are likely to be graced during this period of lunar illumination.” ~ Lee Stillwaters
When the Moon is full, the pressure between the moon and sun creates a gravitational pull of the bodies of water which directly can be linked to pressures in humans. For those who are in the same sign as the full moon is being magnified it may directly affect the moods. There is absolutely no doubt that this moon will create an inner and outer pull of energy that may make some of us quite irritable.
Scorpios and those that have any houses in Scorpio it is time to magnify those houses. It is the most philosophical time of the year it’s the spotlight of the Phoenix. Its time to let go of things that does not fit your passion, the world is watching you release the desire and put on a mask that is fit just for you. Keep silence, keep focus, and keep centered. It will get a little weird. Remember its all in the attitude. And know and understand the psychic and powers of the Scorpio is often feared and respected there is nothing in between.
There is a greater need in during this full moon energy to feel sheltered and steady. Because of this there may be certain aggression, assertion and anger that will bring out the most vivid part in all of us. There is a great need to express the deeper level of our conciseness, but there is a greater need to remain calm if someone tries to tap on to your energy.
Full moon in Scorpio will definitely bring out the stinger even if they are not Scorpios. This experience can be felt as early as 3 days before the exact full moon and 3 days after. Emotions will be intense and issues will come out which were not brought up before. There is a need to allow the experience to flow, but to use collaboration instead of assertiveness.
The full moon in Scorpio may cause some communication and ego centric attitudes and group activities may not go over very well only because everything and everyone may be irritating or irritable. Most of the issues that will cause these disruptive behaviors may have to do with sex, conception, birth and rebirth of nature and nurture. It may even be about money and signing of contract, be sure to read it before you sign anything though mercury is already direct, therefore there nothing hidden.
Everything during the full moon will be intensified, egos will be high and inflated and there may be a greater need for relationships. During this full moon there are greater chances to have many stunning dreams and bleeding and hemorrhaging through clumsiness or laziness may cause problems so take care.
This is the time to Harvest, Pray and be Thankful, and to work on fertility and prosperity. Love and Romance go wild under a Full Moon, especially around midnight. In a full moon you may become highly objective, clear minded and aware of your own needs and the needs of others.
Plants and herbs were harvested and dried as the richness of the first harvest was realized.. As ripe berries were gathered and used for paints, dyes and as a source of Vitamin C. Health and creativity are emphasized and there is a sense of well-being and drama to this lunation.

All Scorpions has been going through a very difficult transit especially within the last 3 years. Scorpions will now become a bit realistic, money oriented, and relationships will no longer be based upon physical plane but emotional and spiritual stability. Any Scorpios that are born in October will now let go of the past (relationships or burdens) and embrace a joyful conjunction of the spiritual world.
If you are on the dating scene than expect your love life to enhance by June or July where you will shine! You’ll not only be looking ahead with a fresh perspective, but you’ll feel more optimistic about life than you have for ages. This moon in very interesting; Like all Scorpios who love to dig and investigative this moon triggers those senses; it forces to get to the bottom of things of what is really going on. Its time for psychic revelations.
When the moon is in Scorpio, we become more accustomed to concealed or mysterious influences and our psychic antennas may be activated. This is a time for working to maintain poignant behavior patters and for working on overcoming inner fixation thoughts or desires. There can be a need for recognizing habits and reactions that keep you locked in power struggles. This Full moon is most favorable for seeking assistance from your divine center and Higher Power to gently release your self from inner negativities. Emotional Power is the focus.
The Moon in Scorpio marks a time of intensified enthusiasm and longing. People may be feeling more self-assured and more challenging, as well as being provoked and inventive. In general, emotions at both ends of the spectrum are heightened and likely to vary quite a bit throughout this influence. Connections on a deep level could be made with members of the opposite sex with the Moon in Scorpio. Represented by the Scorpion, Scorpio possesses an enigmatic and penetrative nature. Feelings of envy and vengeance may arise, so special caution is needed to avoid disagreements. The Scorpio Full Moon can be a vehicle for power urge, which can often result in hostility or even dangerous impulses
Since, moon in Scorpio represents Headstrong, Willful, Hot-Tempered, Brave, and Energetic it is my suggestion for us to remain balanced. This full moon is extraordinary to many signs. It is my suggestion that you purchase a white candle and carve your name one through the wick. Anoint the candle with lavender oil sandalwood and chant the psalm 39. “Om Angarakaya Namaha”
(Om An-ga-ra-ka-ya Na-ma-ha)
This mantra is to call to the lord of peace and removal of any obstacles in your way. The intention of this mantra is the to keep up in balance from loosing our temper through darkness and unfocused energy.
Please remember I am NOT a Astrologer nor do I claim to be one, rather, I am a Vedic Sanskrit Reader who encompasses Astrology as a utility as basis of the reading and surrounds the magnificent transformational destiny and Karma reading as a conclusion to all readings. One can easily create cohesion between Vedic readings and a Western Astrology. I would really suggest that you make an appointment with my featured astrologers such as Lee Stillwaters , Leslie Hale, or Susan Selene and find out how things are about to unfold, take good notes, then get a Vedic Reading so that you are able understand and adapt to transformational changes for your own destined path.
Many people have asked the question how often they should have a reading done by a physic or a tarot reader. In my opinion an in depth reading should be done every moon cycle. Since, every moon cycle represents a change it not only affects our external forces but our internal forces as well. Of course, we all have burning questions every now and then and it maybe necessary to have a reading done more often, but sometime we have to let universe take its course. When dealing with a tragic situation it is my suggestion that before you have a reading done you must clear away negativity and fear from your emotions so that a reader can give you the clearest reading possible. The clearest answers can be given when energy is at a neutral point. Never get a reading with your energy is scattered because you may not receive the best reading possible. This is the main reason why many readers do not go beyond the 3 to 6 months mark.
Wishing you the most irresistible moon ever and I hope you hold your hands together and Namaste the universe for all its simple pleasures.

New Path: New Moon in Taurus

New Moon in Taurus

Maharani Rutan©
The New moon will enter Taurus on May 03, 2011 at, 1:51 pm EST, 10:51 pm (May 02, 2011) at 13 degrees. Notice must be taken that every new moon since 2010 has been at 13 degrees in the sign that magnified that month. Though timing of this moon may be off due to how it is calculated this is at 6 degree orb.
New moon is powerful in many ways. Frequently, it is a time of hope and desires; hence it is also a time to evaluate if your aspirations are universally attainable. Examining the values of wants it may be advisable to make sure they have no bias and selfness and if so they will be granted. At the same time there is a high chance that there will be confusion between the needs and wants. Understanding the needs will always take priority over the wants through this new moon.
“May 11th: Mars enters Taurus. The scales tip as the weight of five planets in Aries shifts towards Taurus when Mars enters the fixed earth sign on May 11th with Mercury and Venus following suit just four days later. ” Lee Stillwaters
“Sensuality and greater awareness of our physical bodies is heightened as four personal planets step in unison through Taurus for almost six days until the Sun enters Gemini on May 21st. During the following two weeks, lovely Venus walks beside her masculine counterpart Mars at a festival of bursting spring blossoms.” Lee Stillwaters
The new moon is also a time for a rebirth; it is a blessing to give ourselves a fresh start. A new moon gives ample energy to come out of hiding and bring something new in your life. There is an itch to take immediate action without thinking things through. Whether it is small change or just changing what is done on a daily basis. Perhaps taking a different road to work, which has more scenery but it takes longer. Or even simple as making realizing that something new has to enter your life as you take the wonderful journey which we call life.
“Venus enters Taurus on May 16, along with Mercury, the planet of communication. Venus in Taurus will change the pace of love energy from ardent and assertive to a slower, more laid back sensual kind of approach. We may become more materialistic and concerned with image and the way we appear to others.” Leslie Hale
“Taurus is the natural ruler of the second house of money, possessions and self image. Planets in Taurus move slower, but it is a fixed sign meaning intent is stronger. What comes to mind is the old children’s story of the hare and the turtle. The hare challenges the turtle to a race and soon leaves the turtle behind confident he has won. Midway he takes a nap and awakens to find the turtle with his steady crawl has actually arrived before him. This is the realm of planets entering Taurus. While the energy and pace may slow down, it is the final finish that counts the most.” Leslie Hale
“With four planets in Taurus by May 16 the focus will be on your love life if you are a Capricorn or Capricorn ascendant, looking for love. This is an extra special time to meet someone significant with both Venus and Mars in the same sign in your fifth house of love. This combination also works well for Taureans, who will get a major boost with the planets of love dancing through their sign through June 10. It also works well for Virgo and the water signs. ” Leslie Hale
“Taurus is a female sign and represents the spirit of creation and nature itself. Now, the seeds planted during the time of Aries can flourish into strong thoughts, ideas and actions.” Leslie Hale
Taurus moon allows ample power to commit to personal goals, which will revolve it self around comfort and contentment. The oomph is enough to make right spur-of-the-moment decisions while following your intuition. This is a time to act from the heart without bias and selfness and trust the process will give the result that is needed to live for the moment. To be the unique energy that belongs with the stars and heaven.
It is time to take a chance. Find the vision that you wish to create. There is absolute calmness in the air and perhaps there is a need to avoid adversaries. But it there is indication that avoiding confrontation clearly discredits who you are or what you believe in, then there is an absolute need to defend the position which is righteously yours. The need to have a tranquil surrounding is a need for this new moon. Perhaps even the tone of your voice from assertive or aggressive to may change to more calming and understanding. Through this process a voice will carry a tune which is melodious and surprisingly bring out the musical talents which were never discovered before.
“Mars, the planet of energy, and our ‘blood’, passions, and creative energies leaves Aries, the sign it rules, on May 11th, and heads for Taurus, the sign of love, work, real estate, and investments.” Rex Estell
”The Warrior planet joins the Sun, and soon lucky, expansive Jupiter will follow, bringing financial blessings to those who are willing to ‘make’ things that are ‘new’, and let go of old patterns in order to benefits from the new arrangements the Stars have aligned for us in the past month or so.” Rex Estell
“Venus, ruler of Taurus, conjuncts Jupiter, in Aries, and the ruler of Mars, on the same day, boosting the lucky and fortunate energies. Not only that, Mercury conjuncts Jupiter as well! This is a big day in the Stars, as Mars rules things that are ‘first’, and in the ‘now’.” Rex Estell
The mixture of what is practical and spiritual and what is known will encourage self consciousness to make life much easier. The focus to accumulate, develop, increase personal and material issues will be welcomed with great rewards at this time.
The drama of the last full moon or rather little before and during the full moon gave many the ground work needed to verbalize what they feel. The way it was said and how it was said was previously been caution and through the full moon there was a need to let it out. Now the new moon ushers the new dimension. This does not mean that the assertiveness and aggressiveness will continue but what ever that was said or needed to be said is said and it is time to discover the outcome of those lessons and move forwards.
The Moon in Taurus ushers in a time of prudence and common sense. There is a feel of conservatives and stability. A good time to continue or finish projects which were started and never finish. This type of forging may cause people to be to be stubborn and unwilling to compromise. Extra care is needed to avoid self-indulgence and excessive concerns to acquire material possessions.
The moon in Taurus represents a tranquil, sensible, physical, tolerant, and willful tendency which means the use of practical senses is the best alternative through this new moon energy. The magnificent liveliness of this energy calls for more grounded personality and to be tuned into earth. Through relationship between earth and humans there is a gift of seeking new ways to have more security and cohesion in our lives between nature and nurture. The new moon energy encourages emphasis on body, mind and soul transformations.

You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is depended upon the quality of intention, and when it comes to finding a satisfying relationships and success, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but it is a powerful source of energy the mantra for Taurus moon is:
Om Sri shukraya Namaha
(om Shri Shu Kra Ya Nama Ha)
Remember the 12 aspirations. Don’t forget to cross the ones you have already accomplished and make new ones. Don’t forget to manifest matters concerning materialistic things at this time. And most of all don’t forget to light a white candle that day carve your name on the candle anoint the candle with Frankincense oil and chant Psalm 65 three times.
In this article I have had a wonderful opportunity to be having awesome Astrologers participate in writing a little abstract of their materials. As you can see they take pride in what they know and what you they do. I highly encourage you to have a look at personal pages for vast amount of information which can help you in your transitions through these celestial transformations and to be able to better understand your path.
Though Astrologers can give you a path way of transitions through life and what to expect, Vedic readings encompasses the roads ahead and give us the ability to change our destiny in such a way that it benefits us. In addition, Vedic reading focuses on prevention, predetermined attitudes and behaviors so that we are aware of them. To able to choose the path through the forks of free will or to choose to create a utopian world which we like to live in.
A Vedic reader will NEVER tell you what to do, yet allow you to choose the road that is best for you through choices of acceptance or change. Often it is all in the attitude and understand from which we play a larger role in which is call humanity. This kind of perception can not be embrace without spirituality, self-preservation and humility.
Astrology and Vedic readings are intertwined and together you can receive the most vivid path. Therefore, I highly recommend that you find an Astrologer which you feel comfortable with and take good notes. Afterwards, I recommend that you speak to a Vedic reader who can help you assist in accepting, changing and resolving issues that may stand in your way through human experiences.
I wish you the most productive New moon and may you succeed in every venture you take with great pride and perseverance. And remember if it is meant to be it will be otherwise you may need to let go.

Full Moon in Gemini
On December 21, 2010 at 3:17 am EST, 12:17am PT we will have a Total Lunar Eclipse as well as the Winter Solstice at 7:04am EST, 4:40am with the full moon in Gemini at 29 degrees. For the first time in a long time the visibility will be prominent in eastern Asia, Australia, northwestern Europe, Africa and all of America.
People with mutable signs(Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces and Virgos), will have difficulties unscrambling their self-image from their emotions, failing to recognize that someone or something is not what it appear and it is all a self image or a mirage rather than a emotional commitment. During the eclipse the sun and the moon will play a significant role in the messages which are being delivered by this eclipse. It is time to use these messages to make over something that is ended and start to build something new. Often times it means to continuously think over things until you are totally exhausted and finally make that choice with coherent thinking.
Many people will change their plans of the future by taking the time to look at all the things that have not worked in their lives to reach new goals. Especially to look at what has held them back for so long to obtain their sublime bliss. Since the eclipse falls in ruler of Sagittarius/ Gemini we are seeking the truth through contemplation. However, there needs to be consideration made that the eclipse is also in squaring Jupiter (Luck and expansion) and Uranus (change) the theme could bring some unexpected adjustment without warning and with it will come a new way of thinking which will be encompassed by compassion and spirituality.
This eclipse brings extraordinary prospects to bring to surface how we are with one another and questioning if our acts or reactions have met the higher good for all. The eclipse energy brings Jupiter to focus where we bring spirituality into our lives and really clean up our act. With Sagittarius also in the mix we are looking for the truth and seeking stability.
Eclipses always come in pairs-keeping in mind for everything that ends there are always a new beginning. This is the first series of eclipses which will capture the heart and soul of Sagittarius and Gemini’s. During this time something could very well end and plan begin anew and may manifest for the partial solar eclipse on June 01, 2011.
Mutable signs (Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces and Virgos) or those who have mutable signs in their charts will be obsessed to do things that interfere with our emotional satisfaction or chasing after their desires while wasting their talents and skills trying to balance a war between their emotions and their ambitions.
This eclipse will also re-stimulate to some degree the issues were raised during the solar eclipse in 2001. According to Vedic astrology during this eclipse it triggers Rahu (Confusion) and Ketu (Anger) to aspect the sun. Therefore, many unforeseen and sad events are possible all around the world. Gemini’s are also the rulers of worries and thus causing situations to be a bit out of control. However, Rahu’s placement (Jupiter) will make things slight bit tolerable. If you would like to refer back to when this kind of energy may have felt like look back at January 09, 2001, November 2003, April 2004 if you can remember that far back.
I can recall in January 2001, I woke up from illusionary relationship and accepted that I must move my self to a higher calling which is to re-examine what I was doing and where I was going. I tapped into my energy source of my own psyche which I was so afraid of for so long and opened the doors of the unexpected and not to fear the unknown. While letting go of people who are no longer beneficial to me. I began to share my gifts which have been given to me through higher calling that I had thrown away for 9 years previous. Dismissing everything that was righteous to escape into the unknown which I called vacuum years later. I decided to go back to school leaving behind a very profitable career to reach for my dream instead of living in a dream of others.
Since this eclipse is geared toward, learning, educational, communication and seeking the truth. That was path which was unseen at the time of the eclipse but was not discovered much later on. In 2003, I again changed my major in college during the eclipse and changed it again in 2004 eclipse. The eclipses were all about starting something new when the old was getting boring. It was also about exploring the depths of relationships which were mentally, physically and spiritually exhausting me while serving others and finding a median. Whatever, I grasped during the eclipses I was always led to leave things that were never useful and spiritual. If it meant I left friends and relationships to have a higher calling than that is what the eclipses did. Look back and see how career, money and relationships transformed you? And are you prepared to do it again? If you are are you learned? Or will you do something with pride and knowledge or will you repeate the same mistakes?
This eclipse falls in areas of communications whether it is news about your next door neighbor, your ex or global events it will most defiantly get your attention. Everyone will be talking it may even feel like you have information overload. Sagittarius also rules learning, teaching and travel. But it could also mean publishing and writing it is about upgrading already learned skills however, it can be quite negative people who are born within 5 days before and after December 21st may be affected by this eclipse which may bring some issues to the surface. But don’t forget we will all be affected one way or another since its hard not to have at least one mutable sign in your chart. At the same instance the eclipse urges you to expand your work or go on a vacation. But having this during retrograde may impose some problems.
When a lunar eclipse occurs, the earth is passing between the Sun and the Moon, creating a Full Moon as we experience every month – but in this case, the alignment is perfect – the occultation of the Moon complete. The intensity of the Full Moon is great, yet she is totally covered for about an hour by the earth’s shadow. You might even see violet, orange and possible blue moon. The Sun and Moon are occupying opposite Astrological signs, therefore emphasizing the particular polarity inherent in those signs. During the period of occultation, the Moon’s supportive light is temporarily we may experience a crisis of need, and the particular sort of lack depends universally upon the astrological sign in which the eclipse occurs, and personally upon the natal astrological house (realm of influence), as well as the major aspects made to natal planets.
This eclipse is predominantly relationship oriented – and our associations with others can be severed, challenged, or suddenly welded together as the shock calls one to action. This eclipse centers on the home and family. We may be deeply considered about our feelings and needs within the context of the house, sign and planetary aspects affected. To fully appreciate the potential in the lunar eclipse, we must explore both houses and signs that are brought into play. Where the Moon (Gemini-communication and fickle-mindedness) is – we can confront our demons, old habits and fears, and where the Sun (Sagittarius-truth and learning) is we may find the means to embrace a release from whatever bondage we experience in life through our creative efforts. In any event, there are opportunities for deeper understanding, and finding a balance in our lives.
Mystery of mysteries, the Moon calls to the visionary soul to wake and drift in kingdom beyond the rational, the lucid, and the solar daytime self… It is time to travel in the dreamtime, listening to your sixth sense, seeking answers in ancient memories deep within your unconscious… Release your hold on the mundane now; don’t try to have it all make sense? Keep a dream diary, and open to moon whisper… Work with divination; don’t be in a hurry and embrace forms of magic that let the mind float free… It is time to be a lunatic, and worship the ever-changing beauty of the night…
While the moon is in the dualistic sign Gemini, people may never make up their minds. With the Gemini ease of seeing both sides of everything we feel more flexible, unpredictable and garrulous. It is a good time to write, take care of tasks that resemble mathematical puzzles, make speeches, or just let ideas fly through the clouds. Intellectual pursuits and mind games may become more inclined to rationalize emotions. A spontaneous tongue may hastily express things that are only true for the moment.
You have a need to continually express your feelings. You are quick to arrive at a logical solution for any emotional problem – and will jump right in to provide a helpful opinion. Your feelings may switch on you. You see the various aspects of a situation, and bend and adjust to others. This could make you appear fickle or two-sided, but it is really the sign of an open mind. You nurture others by staying in friendly communication. You need to relate to your mother as a friend and keep in regular contact.
The Gemini moon stimulates your curiosity. Interesting ideas appear constantly, like doors opening up to reveal other doors. Now is the time to make connections, perhaps via e-mail or telephone. Explore your garden, learn from it, but don’t plant.
The Moon in Gemini also brings time of communication and versatility. People may feel very talkative and curious. This is a time to pursue intellectual interests and to take care of communications both verbal and written. Like the Twins that symbolize Gemini, people may be able to see both sides of a problem, but they may also be fickle and restless, unable to make up their minds. Caution needs to be taken to avoid saying something in haste that will be regretted later.
Allow the heavy burdens of the past months to drop away. You should swim like a light being and an angel of the heavens, in the harmonious seas of bliss and peace. I strongly suggest taking your aspirations that you have made last month and cross them out one by one. Remember never beg for your aspirations.
It is my suggestion to bring out those aspiration papers again and cross off the ones you have already have changes and make new ones. Also I suggest to purchase a Yellow candle carve your name on it and anoint it with sandalwood or frankincense oil and chant the following chant: “”I ask to find the inner light of my creativity” I wish for the universe to help me achieve the recognition that I desire.” “I pray that I may find the strength to take chances with my creativity.” Along with Psalm 7 every night until the next new moon phase this will be January 3, 2011.
Since, moon in Gemini tends to be Friendly, Witty, Aware, Rational, and Flighty. The Airy Gemini Moon gives our heart wings of delight… friendly chats, neighborly visits, community interest and a bit of change-your-mindedness.
The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but it is a powerful source of energy the mantra for Gemini moon is:
Om Veshnu Namaha
(OM Vesh nu Na Ma Ha)
This Siddha mantra uses the universal elements that govern each charka: Earth, Water, Fire and Air.
For the lunar eclipse
Om Chandrakia Namaha
(Om Chan dra Kia Nam aha)
The intention of this mantra is to call upon the God of protection and harmony to give you internal and external peace without uncertainties.
Please note these are general tendencies, and highly recommend that you make an appointment with Lee Stillwaters to find out how this eclipse will affect you. Most of the time Astrology is a guide to what is coming in the future and Astrologers are able to give you a glimpse of what you can expect. At the same time Vedic readings are also quite important because it uses the aspects of the sun, moon, karma, dharma, destiny and spiritual inclinations to predetermine what is about to come so that you can modify your life to have the most benefits from the eclipse.
I will be offering 6 months personal in-depth reading starting the 22nd. Which will be encompassing areas of life that may not be touched upon by an Astrologer and Astrologer will touch upon areas which I am not able to uncover. Together you can amplify the best of both worlds and create a destined path of your choice.
Additionally please note I am not a Astrologer nor claim to be one and the conditions of this information is completely general so that you can get a basic notion of what you can expect. Vedic reading encompasses a basic notion of how we live in the physical world and how we can change our destiny to be written in pencil never a pen.
Wishing a safe journey through the lunar eclipse and a wonderful holiday season.
Namaste

Lunar Eclipse & Full Moon in Cancer
By
Maharani Rutan
On December 31, 2009 we will have Partial Lunar Eclipse of the sun at it will enter middle of its eclipse at approximately 2:22pm EST & Full Moon in Cancer. This corresponds to the Solar Eclipse on July 22, 2009 in Cancer. The eclipse is at 10 degree of Capricorn/Cancer, so people with Cardinal planets or angles (Cancer, Libra, Capricorn and Aries) are more likely to be affected. This lunar eclipse is even more rigorous than the one we had in July 2009, with some planets going retrograde we may feel the slowness of mercury, we may be feeling jealousy with our are partners over old issues .With Venus and Pluto also giving a tail spin this lunar eclipse may even look like a war zone. Our emotions will feel barren which will cause spiral effects of conflicts and must have some release and there is threat of accidents, violent behaviors and outside marital affairs.
People with an emphasis in cardinal signs especially in the sign of Cancer will have difficulties separating their self-image from their emotions, failing to recognize that someone or something is not what it appears and it is all a self image or a mirage rather than a emotional commitment. These people will be obsessed to do things that interfere with our emotional satisfaction or chasing after their yearning while talent and skills are wasted so there is a tug of war between emotions and ambitions.
When a partial lunar eclipse occurs, it does not darken the entire moon light but partially covers the moon and it can be more visible at the country and town I am from which is Gujarat, India. The intensity of the Full Moon is great, yet she is totally covered for about an hour by the earth’s shadow. The Sun and Moon are occupying opposite Astrological signs, therefore emphasizing the particular polarity inherent in those signs. During the period of occultation, the Moon’s reassuring light is temporarily We may experience a crisis of lack, and the particular sort of lack depends universally upon the astrological sign in which the eclipse occurs, and personally upon the natal astrological house (realm of influence), as well as the major aspects made to natal planets. This eclipse is particularly relationship oriented – and our connections with others can be severed, challenged, or suddenly welded together as the shock calls one to action. We may deeply consider our feelings and needs within the context of the house, sign and planetary aspects affected.
To fully appreciate the potential in the lunar eclipse, we must explore both houses and signs that are brought into play. Where the Moon is – we can confront our demons, old habits and fears, and where the Sun is we may find the means to embrace a release from whatever bondage we experience in life through our creative efforts. In any event, there are opportunities for deeper understanding, and finding a balance in our lives.
The Full moon gives a signal for us to understand the meaning and purpose given to a structure to discover what it means to live for a purpose. It is as powerful as everything the moon stands for. This moon rules areas of people, dreams and karmic memories. Domestic issues will preoccupy most of us during the full moon in Cancer. Sentiments and past memories will draw us to people from our past. These sentiments exist on a karmic level that allows us the opportunity to go backwards and retrieve things and people from our past in many cases we thought we have let go may not have let go in the first place. Often times dumb words or actions, which separated us from them, all takes a little effort, humility and humble pie to make the heart heal and right again. It is time to revel sentiments, perhaps very deep ones that we may have harboring unspoken for a long time; to apologize if need to and to general be more kind and nonjudgmental.
A full moon in Cancer is also a compulsive time for many. Especially if they cannot connect with a person or persons from the past binges are likely to happen such as drinking, chocolate bingeing, Ice cream even sexual liaisons, which we all later regret.
The moon in Cancer brings nurturing, emotions, sensitivity, imagination and sentimental issues in our lives. The Watery Cancer Moon brings up memories of childhood, warm motherly arms and tender touches for loved ones. Our hearts swirl in a sea of ancient imagery…. watch out for crabbiness! You may be become touchy emotionally, and need to hide in your shell sometimes. You may be a strong defender of family and tradition. Although your temperaments maybe become changeable, people will come to you readily for nurturing and care. You look to a wise and older person for protection and nurturing. Care needs to be taken to avoid hurting the feelings of others as well as having your own feelings hurt.
Since Cancer is ruled by the Moon, lunar influences are strongest and most easily expressed when focused through this sign. The moon greatly influences personality, the subconscious, and the emotions and molds instinctual behavior. When the Moon is in Cancer, it is a time of tense emotions and great sensitivity with people respond to life through emotions rather than reason. During this very venerable period be cautious not to emotionally wound others or allow you’re self to be wounded. Generally, people will be passive, easy-going, sentimental, loving and nurturing. Unfortunately, this motherly expression of caring is often expressed with food and it is easy to overeat. Cancer is a nurturing sign and the most fertile signs of the zodiac. With the moon in Cancer, it is a good time for creating life and for growth.
During the Lunar Eclipse we must try to look at life in a different aspect. You might want to re-write the aspirations like this: “I need help in creating what I dream of and power to manifest happiness through this process. I need the knowledge to love more and the ability to engage in a positive environment. I need to understand about my goals.” I also recommend that during this Moon cycle that you purchase a purple candle & carve your name on it and anoint the candle with lavender or peppermint. Chant in silence psalm 40 three times (if you are a Christian). You may choose to chant the mantra if you can pronounce it especially (if you are a Hindu). Lunar Eclipse:
“ Om Chandrakia Namaha”
( Om Chan-dra-kee-ya nahm – ah- ha)
Since the Moon in cancer represents Nurturing, Emotional, Sensitive, Imaginative, Sentimental it is my suggestion that you purchase a pink candle and carve your name and the name of your loved one through the wick. Anoint the candle with lavender oil or inspiration oil and chant the psalm 70. You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is dependent upon the quality of intention, and when it comes to finding a satisfying relationship with another person, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but it is a powerful source of energy the mantra for Cancerian moon is:
“ Om Shrim Suriya Namaha”
( Om Shreem Shree-yei nahm – ah- ha)
This Mantra opens the universal forces in your life and allows the righteous changes to occur. The intention of this mantra is the to keep up in balance from loosing our temper through darkness and unfocused energy.
Please note that these are general tendencies of the Lunar Eclipse and not to be taken as a direct negative or positives. Always remember for the most accurate forecast of how the lunar eclipse will affect you or even to get a glimpse of 2010. I would suggest you consult with Lee Stillwaters who can assist you in better understanding your own specific timing and potential changes in 2010.
