~~LUNAR ECLIPSE DEC 31 2009~~

Lunar Eclipse & Full Moon in Cancer

On December 31, 2009 we will have Partial Lunar Eclipse of the sun at it will enter middle of its eclipse at approximately 2:22pm EST & Full Moon in Cancer. This corresponds to the Solar Eclipse on July 22, 2009 in Cancer.  The eclipse is at 10 degree of Capricorn/Cancer, so people with Cardinal planets or angles (Cancer, Libra, Capricorn and Aries) are more likely to be affected. This lunar eclipse is even more rigorous than the one we had in July 2009, with some planets going retrograde we may feel the slowness of mercury, we may be feeling jealousy with our are partners over old issues .With Venus and Pluto also giving a tail spin this lunar eclipse may even look like a war zone. Our emotions will feel barren which will cause spiral effects of conflicts and must have some release and there is threat of accidents, violent behaviors and outside marital affairs.

People with an emphasis in cardinal signs especially in the sign of Cancer will have difficulties separating their self-image from their emotions, failing to recognize that someone or something is not what it appears and it is all a self image or a mirage rather than a emotional commitment.  These people will be obsessed to do things that interfere with our emotional satisfaction or chasing after their yearning while talent and skills are wasted so there is a tug of war between emotions and ambitions.

When a partial lunar eclipse occurs, it does not darken the entire moon light but partially covers the moon and it can be more visible at the country and town I am from which is Gujarat, India.  The intensity of the Full Moon is great, yet she is totally covered for about an hour by the earth’s shadow. The Sun and Moon are occupying opposite Astrological signs, therefore emphasizing the particular polarity inherent in those signs. During the period of occultation, the Moon’s reassuring light is temporarily  We may experience a crisis of lack, and the particular sort of lack depends universally upon the astrological sign in which the eclipse occurs, and personally upon the natal astrological house (realm of influence), as well as the major aspects made to natal planets. This eclipse is particularly relationship oriented – and our connections with others can be severed, challenged, or suddenly welded together as the shock calls one to action. We may deeply consider our feelings and needs within the context of the house, sign and planetary aspects affected. 

To fully appreciate the potential in the lunar eclipse, we must explore both houses and signs that are brought into play. Where the Moon is – we can confront our demons, old habits and fears, and where the Sun is we may find the means to embrace a release from whatever bondage we experience in life through our creative efforts. In any event, there are opportunities for deeper understanding, and finding a balance in our lives. 

The Full moon gives a signal for us to understand the meaning and purpose given to a structure to discover what it means to live for a purpose.  It is as powerful as everything the moon stands for.  This moon rules areas of people, dreams and karmic memories.  Domestic issues will preoccupy most of us during the full moon in Cancer. Sentiments and past memories will draw us to people from our past.  These sentiments exist on a karmic level that allows us the opportunity to go backwards and retrieve things and people from our past in many cases we thought we have let go may not have let go in the first place.  Often times dumb words or actions, which separated us from them, all takes a little effort, humility and humble pie to make the heart heal and right again.  It is time to revel sentiments, perhaps very deep ones that we may have harboring unspoken for a long time; to apologize if need to and to general be more kind and nonjudgmental.

A full moon in Cancer is also a compulsive time for many.  Especially if they cannot connect with a person or persons from the past binges are likely to happen such as drinking, chocolate bingeing, Ice cream even sexual liaisons, which we all later regret.  

The moon in Cancer brings nurturing, emotions, sensitivity, imagination and sentimental issues in our lives. The Watery Cancer Moon brings up memories of childhood, warm motherly arms and tender touches for loved ones. Our hearts swirl in a sea of ancient imagery…. watch out for crabbiness! You may be become touchy emotionally, and need to hide in your shell sometimes. You may be a strong defender of family and tradition. Although your temperaments maybe become changeable, people will come to you readily for nurturing and care. You look to a wise and older person for protection and nurturing. Care needs to be taken to avoid hurting the feelings of others as well as having your own feelings hurt.

Since Cancer is ruled by the Moon, lunar influences are strongest and most easily expressed when focused through this sign.  The moon greatly influences personality, the subconscious, and the emotions and molds instinctual behavior.  When the Moon is in Cancer, it is a time of tense emotions and great sensitivity with people respond to life through emotions rather than reason. During this very venerable period be cautious not to emotionally wound others or allow you’re self to be wounded.  Generally, people will be passive, easy-going, sentimental, loving and nurturing.  Unfortunately, this motherly expression of caring is often expressed with food and it is easy to overeat. Cancer is a nurturing sign and the most fertile signs of the zodiac.  With the moon in Cancer, it is a good time for creating life and for growth.

During the Lunar Eclipse we must try to look at life in a different aspect.  You might want to re-write the aspirations like this: “I need help in creating what I dream of and power to manifest happiness through this process.  I need the knowledge to love more and the ability to engage in a positive environment.  I need to understand about my goals.”  I also recommend that during this Moon cycle that you purchase a purple candle & carve your name on it and anoint the candle with lavender or peppermint.  Chant in silence psalm 40 three times (if you are a Christian).   You may choose to chant the mantra if you can pronounce it especially (if you are a Hindu). Lunar Eclipse:

“ Om Chandrakia Namaha”

( Om Chan-dra-kee-ya nahm – ah- ha)

Since the Moon in cancer represents Nurturing, Emotional, Sensitive, Imaginative, Sentimental it is my suggestion that you purchase a pink candle and carve your name and the name of your loved one through the wick.  Anoint the candle with lavender oil or inspiration oil and chant the psalm 70.  You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is dependent upon the quality of intention, and when it comes to finding a satisfying relationship with another person, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but it is a powerful source of energy the mantra for Cancerian moon is:

“ Om Shrim Suriya Namaha”

( Om Shreem Shree-yei nahm – ah- ha)

This Mantra opens the universal forces in your life and allows the righteous changes to occur. The intention of this mantra is the to keep up in balance from loosing our temper through darkness and unfocused energy.

On December 31, 2009, starting at 3pm EST I will be doing 6 months in-depth self reading in preparation for the Solar Eclipse on January 15, 2010.  Many of you have already have had such a reading and some of you it may be new.  These readings are quite intense therefore, I recommend that you do nothing with a relationship and let it be status quo if you can help it.

Go into a hermit mode and breathe. Get ready for the lunar and solar eclipse by practicing meditation or learn go to yoga classes or find some buy a tape of manifestation visualization what ever it takes for you to go into your own spiritual world and RELAX. Lastly, remember to breathe this week and next and make sure you take a spiritual bath prior to setting up a time to talk to me if you do not have the recipe you may email me because I can not post it here it is on request basis only.
