Full Fish Moon
Full Moon in Libra
On April 06, 2012, we will have a full moon transiting in Libra at 17 degrees. The full moon will illuminate the sky around 3:19 pm EST and 12:19 pm Pacific transiting 6 degrees orb.
In earlier centuries, seasons were actually calculated by the way the moon and the sun rose and set. April was a very significant time for many people as it signified the coming of spring. Often, the full moon in April was called the Full Fish moon; this is when fishing was its best because the fish swam up-stream to spawn. It was also called the Pink moon due to the pink hew which the moon reflected on moss. It is also a time to bring green back into our grass.
This will affect all those that have Libra in their charts as well as cardinal signs. With Saturn in Libra, this moon is going to be one of those push-pull moons between responsibilities and relationships. This is a relationship moon; not just romantic, but business also. It will question the essence of responsibilities within every relationship.
When the Moon is full, the gravitational pull between the Moon, on one side of the earth, and the Sun on the other has a great affect on our own bodily water levels, as well as the earth’s. You may or may not notice the effect (depending on how powerful the Moon is in your Astrological chart), but there is no doubt that this energy creates an inner pull and fullness which may help us to connect psychologically with others. Everything becomes lucid and more intense under the light of the Full Moon – zeal and confidence can become quite magnified, and we may have more perception and spotlight on relationships. There is a good chance to get a surge of energy by light of the Moon and have more luminous dreams.
Even though this moon is to bring clarity on relationships, responsibilities and expectations, the sun is still in Aries, and Mercury has already began to move direct. These planetary emphases will bring reflection of the self, and in others lives, to realize karma, as we know it, will make a full circle. Spotlighting on the needs of others will definitely bring about positive changes during this period
The full moon brings with it random discretion. Some may find equilibrium between sovereignty and harmony. However, there may be some strain between our private spaces to be alone, and feeling so alone that we will find anyone that fills the void. This could leave one with an extremely bad taste at the end of the day. Therefore it is suggested that you do not make any decisions in regard to relationship issues until the energy of the moon has passed the orb. This is 3 to 4 days before and after the full moon.
With Pluto in retrograde the sign of relief will be here on April 10, 2012. Mercury will remain in retrograde until the 23rd and Mars retrogrades until April 13, 2012. Saturn remains in retrograde until June 25, 2012. With all the planets moving direct, this is a time to reconsider the lessons learned during these difficult transits. These slowdowns have allowed many to make permanent decisions by forcing people not to flip flop, switch and change minds. With Venus Squaring Mars, Neptune and Uranus there is no telling what could happen; both wonderful sit-downs with bosses and loved ones to clear the air or outrageous arguments. Manifest positivity during this time – remembering the Solar Eclipse is not too far away.
Bleeding and blood loss are more likely during a full moon, so take care. This is the time to harvest, pray and be thankful, and to work on productiveness and success. Love and romance go untamed under a full moon, especially around midnight. In a full moon there is high objectivity, clear mindedness and an awareness of your own needs and the needs of others. Listen to your inner voice and seek a balance that is important not about power and control. There are no winners or losers in a relationship there are only learned individuals.
Perhaps there is a feeling that there is too much taken and not enough received or that the burdens are just too much to carry. This moon questions our capabilities to accept other people’s duties or letting it go. The pressure of this moon will not keep many quiet like they should, if so, then speak in truth and honesty. Don’t over analyze, emotions may get the best of most of us – be rational. Due to the volcanoes within our emotions it may be that control issues may not allow balance to be restored as it should, therefore watching what you say to avoid heated arguments may come through collaboration rather than silence or arguments. Negotiate the needs and find sacrifices which are needed to alter your own identity so that relationships can be honored.
The full moon brings with it vigor to plant and harvest. While the moon is in Libra, there is a need to have a satisfying relationship with an affectionate partner to feel at peace psychologically. There is an urge to frequently assess emotions, seeking just the right equilibrium with others. There is also a flare for splendor and fine arts, and express these in a significant way. Encouraging others by treating them fairly and seeing their stunning individuality is the theme for this full moon. There also could be an admiration of a mother or motherly figure to model brilliance, tenderness, charisma and egalitarianism.
Libra Moon values melodious relationships. Pleasing people that are close to us and encourages people to look after others with generosity, and delightful manner with music and beautiful things. Libra Moon needs close a friendship, partnership or marriage to feel nurtured and protected. A need for peace, harmony and pleasant surroundings is a must. In emotional situations, the Libra Moon tends to act very rationally and strives to make fair decisions. People will have strong sensitivity to and attraction for others. This comes from the Libran search for harmony and balance, for the Libra nature accentuates teamwork.
It’s a good time to form joint projects of all natures—friendships, marriages, and business. The planet Venus (Libra) accepts the obvious and their environment must be sociable. Liberal nature and a desire to beautify many things rules Libra. It is an excellent time for artistic work as the beauty of Venus is combined with intellectual ease of an air sign. Altogether, it’s a lovely time for social gathering, when the consciousness of self as expressed in the first six signs of the zodiac, becomes united with the awareness of needs and desires of others. Enjoy this time since Venus will turn retrograde May 15, 2012 which will pose characters of reconsideration to a relationship.
Since, moon in Libra represents Charming, Attractive, Luxurious, Fair-Minded, and Loving it is my suggestion for us to remain balanced. This full moon is extraordinary to many signs. It is my suggestion that you purchase a yellow candle and carve your name through to the wick. Anoint the candle with lavender oil or peppermint and chant the psalm 26.
You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is dependent upon the quality of intention, and when it comes to finding satisfying relationships, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but it is a powerful source of energy the mantra for Libra moon is:
Om Shukrya Namaha
(Om Shoo-krah-yah Nahm-ah-ah)
This mantra produces the quality of friendship within oneself including others.
The intention of this mantra is to smooth your path in life by helping you understand the lessons you have set for yourself and through karma, the negativity will slowly go away with every moon cycle; remember to cross out the old affirmation even if there is the slightest change and create new ones. The perfect number for aspiration is 10. This means to list 10 aspirations and recite them every night until the next moon cycle. Remember to never make the affirmations beginning with “I balance”, it must be worded “I need balance in my life with friendship and love.”
Many people have asked the question how often they should have a reading done by a psychic or a tarot reader. In my opinion an in depth reading should be done every moon cycle or when it is affecting you astrologically. Since every moon cycle represents a change, it not only affects our external forces but our internal forces as well. Of course, we all have burning questions every now and then and it maybe necessary to have a reading done more often, but sometimes we have to let universe take its course.
Please note I am not a astrologer but rather a Vedic reader, which means Vedic readings encompasses upon changeable destiny and forks that lay ahead for Karmic changes and how our own wiliness to beautify and make changes which allows prosperity and happiness in our lives. Vedic reading is a pathway to changes and acceptable things in our lives where Astrology brings a foundation of the path. Together they bring symphony of cohesion to bring peaceful resolutions.
