On January 21, 2012, at 5:35 pm EST and 2:31pm PST, we will have a very friendly New Moon in Aquarius 2 degrees in Aquarius, which means those that have the sun, moon or even ascendants, descendents or any planets in Aquarius, will be affected by this moon. Some more greatly than others but it will defiantly impact early born Aquarius or those with Aquarius in their birth chart.
Not only is it a Chinese New Year, but Mars is also retrograde stationed which means though it is a time of celebration but many of us will be frazzled when mars retrogrades in Virgo, this may be a egotistical time between being powerless and powerful.
The New Moon signals to come out and build something, to change outlook at life to restore something that has been lost or even try something all together new. There is an impulse to take action and begin something new, be it a small modification in the way one approaches life or minor routines that has just given away and needs a whole new path on journey through life. The energy is right for being spontaneous. To take the risk.
This is time to act and trust that the risk is worth taking, breathe for a moment and exhale later. Make your dreams a reality dance like never dance before. The New Moon is an asking (invocative) time, and a time to formulate what our needs are according to the opportunities available (through Aquarius this month).
When the moon is in Aquarius there is denial of unreasonable characteristics of suspicion, pettiness and being overly emotional. However, this could seem to others that there is a nature of coldness and detachment. There is also a tendency of being unreliable and a natural sense of wanting to be independent but the loyalty remains.
Moon in Aquarius, there is a need to have an emotional detachment – a knack for independence regarding feelings and feelings of others. The view emotional situations logically, scientifically, feelings may come up erratically. There is a need to pursue an intellectual level to everything. Seeking company of friends will give emotional fulfillment. By nurturing others by one could learn to appreciating their genius and accepting their eccentricities. Motherly figure may be the need for deep connected friendship and intellectual stimulation, and may feel that she is distant or aloof. Of course this applies primarily to those whose charts are not unduly afflicted in the sign of Aquarius and the other fixed signs.
People with fixed signs may separate emotionally and being more objective so that there is no over reaction on situations. It is time for impartiality and truth so that information can come in a more subtle way. It is also a time to find a deeper self expression through a higher mind and reason. Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras achieving the desired result is depended upon the quality of intention, and when it comes to finding satisfying relationships, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be.

This means to list 10 aspirations and recite them every night until the next moon cycle. Remember never make the affirmations beginning with “I want”, it must be worded “I need to be shown how to retain”
